Can we talk about Kalista?

[TL;DR Kalista has a solid lore to go on, so why does she only use the soulbound mechanic twice in her kit, when a lot of power budget goes into the random hopping mechanic that everyone hates?]

Now, I'm gonna start this off with I HATE KALISTA. OH MY GOD I WILL DIVE THAT BACKLINE AS AN ADC JUST TO MURDER HER FACE IN KIND OF HATRED.

Ufta, glad to have that out of my system. Now, why do I hate her? The jumping mechanic. Nothing else, just that.

Straight up; no if's and's or but's about it.

And that's the general consensus I get from the community as well, is that this one part of her kit is what drives the general hatred of her whole character. That being said, why does Riot feel like it has to be a core concept of her character?

Personally, I really like who she is and what she brings to the world, being the literal embodiment of the addage "if you seek vengence, dig two graves." I feel like this should be who she is, not some jackrabbit.

Her style? Sweet. Her weapon of choice? Fantastic. Her synergy with her lane partner? Halfway there. Her passive? Way off the mark.

This Taric rework does a whole bunch of things with using your lane partner as part of yourself, and I'd like to see more of that in Kalista. As it is, your link only obviously effects your ult, while giving a lot of hidden power with that %health damage thing when both partners hit the same target. Two things, in her whole kit, revolve around the central theme of her lore.

When you make the Marksman pass again in a couple years, can we get Kalista a new passive, and maybe some other interactions with her soulbound partner?
