State of The Game

First off, I'd like to emphasize that I'm not going to post some bandwagon thread, and say nonsense, followed by a threat of quitting the game. Pause for downvotes

Now, I would like to say that where we are now is not such a bad place to be, the game isn't entirely unbalanced, and sure, it will never be like the glory days of Generic first season you reached level 30 here, because the game has changed since then.

To save the trolls some time, yes, I'm gold 3, I get it, you're going to bring it up, then someone is going to bring up that your only some random rank below diamond one but that's fine, I know I'm not at the top of the ladder, so let's get past that, shall we?

Let's get back on topic. First off, let's just throw this in here for what I commonly read on the boards now-a-days, after will be the continuation of the post. Skip anything you don't care about, obviously.

12. So Tank Ekko. Yes, I think he's a little strong, and the PBE changes are a step in the right direction, however, I do not think the slow's AP scaling is correct. 700 AP and you get a Root. Cap it at around 80% slow OR make a .075 AP scaling. Also while I'm on the subject, lower the duration of the w stun and increase the BASE shield. I know everyone doesn't like tank Ekko, but it should be viable for those who like to play it. Streamlining a champion just because people don't like how it can be played is not the right answer. However, bringing said ways for the champion to be played in line with the power of everyone else is needed, and tank Ekko is only one of the Tank Assassin's, luckily, the others have been mostly balanced. A good example of one who has been balanced in a way that they are viable tank or ap right now is Akali. Either build, still fun.

13. Mage Update. Have to say, good job on every champion that isn't Swain, Vlad, and Vel'koz. There was a little bit there where I was worried, but it seems okay at this point. The Swain adjustments should be a fine way to get him in line, and you're trying with Vlad, so that's good. I don't think Vel'Koz 100% 1.2 ap scaling True Damage ult is a good idea, but since no one plays him anyway, I should be fine. Does this mean I'm happy with the mage update? No. I miss mana regen, right now it's just a little bit harder to keep yourself relevant if you don't back between fights. Hextech items are fun however, so I will give you that. Seems all good here, moving on.

14. New champion select is good. It would be nice to have some more features like champion select quotes, you know, the huge thing that every champion already has, but we don't get to use here. Also, it makes it easier to break the meta, as everyone just accepts that your a troll and plays anyway. Honestly, pretty good. It would be nice to be allowed to buy new champions here as well, just putting it out there.

15. Dynamic Queue. "It doesn't represent our skill, blah blah blah 4 man premades blah blah, their's is always better than our somehow." Look, it's always felt like the enemy team was better than yours. Why? Because a lose is much easier to remember than a victory. This doesn't mean I'm overlooking the issues Dynamic queue has though. I play mostly solo, and it feels absolutely... the same for the most part. This may be different for people in Diamond+, as that seems to be where the biggest issue is, but for me? It seems the same. If I end up with a four man premade, I don't suddenly get super pissed off. I don't act like a victim. I get one of them fed, then all four will play the game out, no ff's, or anything. Now if I got super defensive and started yelling at them they'd gang up on me. But wait, that's what happens when you do the same thing to solo players. Nothing has changed. To climb you have to carry 4 people. Sometimes you get to carry 3 with the help of one. Cool. However, 4 man premades are just ridiculous. 1 is fine. 2 is fine. 3 is fine. 5 is fine. 4 though? I'm a jg main, so it doesn't affect me as much as it would someone who plays adc, but it just seems strange. Leaving one guy out sucks. So let's not. Hell, if you bring 5 man teams back you could remove 5 mans as well.

16. Tencent buying the rest of the Riot stocks doesn't affect me. Other than Goth Annie with a smile, I haven't really cared about these changes.

17. Tank Assassin's have been all but fixed. So put down the torches. It's all okay.

18. You're quitting? Cool. Go. Can we not make a big deal about it? You're going to scare off the new players. We get it, you don't like where the game has gone. But they are new. They could like where we are now. A couple years from now, they will be the people saying Season 6 was the best Season. Just like we all used to say we hated Season 4 in Season 4. And 5 in 5. There were more than likely people who did the same in 3. My rose tinted glasses say that was the best season though. Kass and LB where the only major issues and were permabanned, so who cares?

19. Alright Laughing Fish. I get it, you're a memer and you think you're funny. Cool. You're lucky I, and pretty much everyone else here think you're funny as well. Keep up the good work.

21. These are actually pretty cool. Now that Water Drag is nerfed to hell balanced, seems good.

22. Rioters say nothing. Why? Just a little not from any of you is good enough for the rest of us. If you're not on the team, ask the same questions. We hold you guys in fairly high regard you know.

Okay. So that's it. I hope league isn't dying, and so many of the posts here make me worry I guess. When my friends get back from their missions (religion) or the Military, I want to be able to enjoy League like we did in High School. So can we all just calm down and have some level headed debates?
