Starcraft 2 doesn't have any chat warning or game ban at all

I can talk whatever I want in Starcraft 2 and never heard anyone complain about this freedom in SC2 forum. Do you like this way or the Riot way?

Starcraft 2 isn't that much of a team game and is mostly focussed around 1v1. This makes a lot of difference. In LoL cooperation is very important and can be more frustrating if it doesn't work out. Also in SC2 you can just leave the game without having to wait for 20 minutes and 4 surrender votes. Behaviour has a much bigger impact in LoL and it's more important to regulate.

To be entirely honest, and I'm sure alot of people would probably disagree with me but I don't particularly care if anyone's being verbally toxic as such so long as they play fine.

I'm perfectly happy with abusing the mute button regardless but that's just me and it's fine.

In general its better to ignore people, but SC2 is different from LoL. Teamplay is important so you TECHNICALLY need or should be communicating with your teammates. SC2 is all about the 1v1 from my understanding, so you can't really rage at anyone BUT the guy who is kicking your ass or who is getting his ass kicked by you, so chat policy isn't as big of an issue.

Basically RIOT put out a generic "standard" that players have to adhere to, which is better this way as it discourages just endless cursing and swearing. Also it helps cover themselves because if something bad resulted from someone reacting badly to someones word, lets say committing suicide, it could put them in a bad position. Not saying it has happened or whatever about the individual who reacted this way, but its just easier to try and put a complete stop to this behavior then saying "toughen up" or some other crap like that. People usually come to play games to escape reality and have fun, no reason to have to go into something you want to have fun with and get cursed at and hated on by your teammates who should be on your side and make your gaming experience poor.

I like that they implemented this system, it would hopefully make everyone better people in general and help them communicate in a more cohesive manner.
