I was in gold 5. Then all of sudden for every game i won i only would get 10-12 points but for a loss i would be getting consistent -22 to -25. This is still going on through demotion to silver 1 and now close to silver 4 because even if i win a few games, one loss negates all that. What sense does this make? And what is the reasoning for this to happen?
The system considers your personal mmr to be lower than the mmr are of that rank. For example if your personal mmr was say 800 and gold is say 1000 then you would gain less lp and lose more lp with a win and loss respectively
You didn't belong in gold. You may have been placed gold because of a few lucky games but you aren't gold material
The LP system is designed to find where you belong. So if you are losing match after match it means you aren't ready for that division. You have to prove the system wrong if you really think you are.
The system is broken right now, it's driving mid players (mid silver- high gold) all the way down into dirt. Your LP loses push you down harder and into more matchups with team mates that do not understand the game, which makes it harder to win the necessary 75% of your matches to climb, or the 66% just to stay afloat.
And with MMR going up by winning more then losing, it's the real "Snowball" gamestate that Riot has brought to us.
I'd just like to play with people who are the same skill level as me, it's been over a month since I've seen one fun, well matched game.
its to the point to where if i win 66% im either even like you said or still losing points. Also, for opportunistic, i started the season in bronze and won my way up to gold so it wasn't just a few lucky games. Ya i agree with you branagen, also, there games where there been those toxic guys who will troll throughout the game or just be afk and when those games finally finish, you'll still end up losing 20+ points. Also, for Laobushido, if that's the case then when does that balance out because its been 20+ games ive played now and it's still like that
