Please, just go back to the old rune system. I miss the days when I would shield or heal somebody and see the little golden shield from Windspeaker's Blessing, back when not every single rune was about doing damage, I've seen on the PBE what you're going to do with Zombie Ward and that's just unnecessary. Sure, we have Resolve, for some modicum of defense, but what's the point when all the runes in that tree are borderline worthless? I'm not going to do a whole essay on what's wrong with the game, I'll leave that for somebody who's better equipped to do that, but please, I've been playing since season 5, loyal fanboy for years now, and all I ask is to go back to the old rune system. It's okay to make mistakes as long as you own up to them, I just hope you, as a company, haven't become so prideful that you aren't willing to swallow your pride and admit when you did something wrong.

You're referring to masteries. The old runes I would prefer not to return to.

old runes helped you at the start of the game, masteries allowed you to scale, current system is shite

i get how u feel. i don't think riot would go back to the old rune system because that would be a step backwards.

i think there is a lot of potential for improvement with the current rune system (like.... like oh my god less damage. please less damage flying everywhere. don't buff resolve it's fine, it's just that there needs to be less damage) but not so much that the whole thing should be scrapped and reverted.

if they did that, it would have to mean the game gained nothing from overhauling the system. there has to be positives, and they would be looking to keep those. i don't think it's a matter of pride. i'm not sure what it would take for riot to slow down all the numbers flying around, but i'm still hopeful for the future of the current runes system.

What if they just gave every rune for free in the old rune system. Problem solved, individuality is back, people can pick and choose what they want masteries can be expanded. Better game instantly.

I completely agree I want the old runes and masteries back.
