Why is Riot always trying to ruin diverse build paths? ( Don't Change Triforce Petition)

First they changed Triforce having it lose 10% crit chance while remaining the same price, then they removed the ap and added back the crit chance, ruining build paths for some hybrids who enjoy that extra bit of ap. Now they want to completely remove the crit chance, and implement more attack speed, as if with the new ADC changes the ADCs didn't get ENOUGH items. You guys are ruining ad casters, and yes, ad casters can depend on that extra bit of crit rate, and don't depend on attack speed. This is the most poorly thought out item change possible, they gave Triforce more attack speed, no crit chance, and 10% more cdr. WHO IS GOING TO BUY THAT SHIT?! ADCs don't need the cdr since essence reaver is such a core item for those who rely on cdr, and with the trend of ghost blade, they're capped out on cdr, so who possibly benefits from this change? This item will never replace Ice Born Gauntlet for Ezreal, so I honestly don't see the purpose of this change. This may be an item path for devourer junglers who are following out of the scene, but they were toxic for the game anyways. There has to be a better way than to gut other champions, in order to may or may not get a positive change for a certain group of champions that are a bit down in the gutters at the moment. Triforce is the most iconic item in the game, one of the most balanced item for the longest time, only meant for snowballing, with small increments of situational stats, with a nice sheen proc. Changing Triforce like this is literally blasphemy.

*Edit People who think bruisers will be "buffed" with the changes, getting the extra 10% cdr and attack speed can't be more wrong. Champions like Irelia and Jax have enough attack speed in their build path, that a 25% honestly wouldn't do anything, they want to kill their target as soon as possible, losing the 20% crit rate, will hit them hard, as they require to land more attacks without the chance of it landing a critical, while the enemy team is peeling them off. This game isn't about DPS, there's mechanics where you can only attack for a certain amount of time before you're killed or cc locked, stats like attack speed that are prolonged damage potential skills hurt Bruisers in their attempt to kill off squishy targets as soon as possible. Bruisers generally have max cdr at the end of their build path anyways, so that extra 10% is pointless, and it will never replace BC on champions like Darius, or Olaf. I am almost 100% certain it will have a negative affect on Irelia and Jax, they honestly don't need the extra attack speed over crit rate, since crit rate is in such a small niche, only available on ADC centric items, people forget it's value on champions that aren't just marksman, gp, or yasuo. People don't understand that even champions who depend on attack speed, having a difference between 0% crit rate to 20% is HUGE, even at the cost of attack speed. When one stat is inflated it makes other damage stats like crit rate much more valuable especially when it's a difference from 0% to 20%, as those champions who don't depend on cr from triforce will have no other source of cr.

IMO I'd much rather have AS than crit. 20% crit statistically does almost nothing for a fighter that may only get 3-4 autos off in a fight late game while extra 20% AS and 10% CDR would allow them maybe 1 more spell rotation and 1 more auto late game which is huge.

In an actual team fight, damage calculation isn't just about how long I can attack for, there's mechanics, where you can only attack for a certain amount of time before you're cc locked, or blown up. Prolonging potential damage stats such as attack speed negatively affects champions like Irelia and Jax, since they want to kill their target as soon as possible, as they can't just sit still and expect to auto attack without getting interrupted.

that is true but speeding up your autoattack animation for even a single extra auto does more than a 20% crit chance which may do absolutely nothing and at worst, a single extra auto does exactly the same overall damage as another crit, more with fervor. crit is better in lane or 1v1s where its a statistical 20% damage boost IMO.

just watch: after the change, Irelia/Jax win rates rise.

With a little bit of math you'd know that you're 100% wrong about that assumption... Especially Jax, with stats like attack speed, ad, and cr, when one is much higher than the other, the others gain extreme value. It's probably note worthy to understand that these bruisers will have 0 crit rate with these changes, and that's HUGE for their damage output especially if they were attack speed centric in their kit to begin with.

Jax and Irelia has zero synergy with crit. GP, Yasuo and Yi have abilities that can crit.
Still triforce is too expensive for Yi and the Sheen proc is wasted.

Trinity is good only, if you can abuse all the stats and the passives. There is no other item that gives diverse stats. Many champs would buy it, if it was cheaper, but the passive effects are too expensive, if they have no synergy with your kit. Only Jax and Irelia benefit from the changes. GP, Yasuo, Nasus and the ADCs want the crit.

Not even close, irelia and jax benefit way more for the extra 20% crit rate. Their task is to instantly kill a squishy target, that 20% chance to crit on a sheen proc is so important, and it happens more times than one may think. Literally no champion benefits with the changes.

They theorized about rito trying to make marksmen build triforce now, since it's somehow unpopular (!?) and they want to make adcs build stinger into as well (yet stinger is suffering a nerf next patch)

Well, many people on this board were saying that 10 % CDR and more AS are way better than crit for the bruisers that buy it. RITO wanted triforce to be bought on more ADCs, but the other crit items are way better for their price

I think you might be overvaluing the crit strike, if AS help Irelia to land a single more basic attack during stun, it will always deal more damage than a crit would, due to hitten style. Same goes with Jax, a single basic attack more during counter strike/stun is always worth more, or at least the same as a single crit strike, and a crit strike isn't even guaranteed to happen.

Also, instantly killing a squishy target isn't their only job, they also do dueling and splitpushing, as they are divers not assassins, and in those scenarios AS also will be better than random crit.

I'm in agreement with this. I definitely notice it takes longer to kill things now with this new Triforce (I don't play Jax or Irelia). Less burst than before thanks to the loss of the crit. It's particularly noticeable until I'm able to pick up a crit item.

There needs to be another crit item that isn't a Zeal upgrade now that Triforce crit has been removed. Essence Reaver isn't available outside of Summoner's Rift, so this hurts any crit reliant champion that liked TF.

GP, Yasuo and ADC's using TF are exactly the reason why it's getting changes - they are not supposed to rush bruiser item(as in: one that has defensive stats), and not scale terrible damage-wise with it. If you go for high DPS crit build, you build high DPS crit items from beginning of the game, no safe options.

Also I believe other bruisers can benefit from the changes, like WW, Sheen-Zhao... Hell, without crit and with high-end AS it's reasonable damage option for Volibear.

What? GP used trinity since forever. Xin doesn't have the gold income to get it and if he is snowballing, he can buy better items, because Trinity falls off super fast. Voli is better with Juggernaut build, if you are getting AD. It was in his recommended items and still noone was buying it on him.

I heavily agree, i also main gp, so i am really concerned about the changes..

As GP would say ''Another!'' I'm kinda concerned aswell :v
