Just a question about Annie (Not a complaint post)

Is she a viable support bottom lane? I was in a game where my usual support got top instead of his main pick (support, of course), and I was Ashe with an Annie support, and we didn't do well at all. I was often left to 2v1 while she placed wards and we were against an Alistar and Varus (It was painful.)

I just want to know if she is a viable support or if Annie should just be used mid-lane. I know people are trying to do all sorts of different things in this chaotic meta, but this combo really didn't work for me.

Someone said I sucked, and I replied with, "I am not used to an Annie support. I usually have Braum." I know that came across as an excuse, but I think a completely different support from what I am used to can affect how the bottom lane performs. shrugs

Annie support is nothing new and has been around for over a season. There's many factors involved, but the short answer is, she's viable as support. In all honesty, you shouldn't just be accustomed to one type of support to begin with.

I'm going to assume this is the game. I think you need to look more at how you played and less at how your support did. You're far under in cs and wards, and once you were behind, you should have played more carefully.

She's a troll pick no matter what anyone says. Viable? I guess, but not to the extent of a real support.

Inaccurate. You may not have laned with ones capable of handling her but she is effective regardless of your opinion/experience.

It can work but you can't build casually like AP annie

masteries run 18 and 12,take the 15% summoner spell cooldown reduction in resolve and get lucidity boots ASAP for low cooldown flash

summoner spell options summoner 14 summoner 4 summoner 6 summoner 3 Exhaust for more defensive play,Ignite for early aggression, ghost for speeding you up for your ult and flash is a must have

core items item 2301 or item 3092 i personally prefer FQC for the slow because that helps with flash ults then item 3800 for more speed and item 3152 for damage,CDR and like a mini dash for ults, other items to adapt to the situation

I've done it and it done well, the mistake i see with most Annie supports is that they build straight AP,if you plan on building AP items like item 3152 item 3001 item 3116 item 3050

Protobelt already explained up there

Rylai's for more utility, because so as long as targets stand next to tibbers they are slowed

Abyssal if you have some AP dmg on your team so you can boast there damage with the MR debuff aura

Zeke's to buff your AD/mage but you should probably just buff your AD

Tip in lane As annie when you try to trade at lets say around level 3 where you have all 3 skills,Q and if your close enough W but also use your E so you take less damage and force them to take more dmg in the trade if they auto attack

it works decently but she does get out classed by a lot of supports and can get shit on by other ranged supports pre-6

That comp is slightly weak pre-6. However, Annie and Ashe wrecks after level 6. You should have been racking up kills as soon as your ults were up.

(This may be rare.) Thank you for your feedback. I was a little skittish about posting this at first. I have seen others ripped apart on the boards, and I was hoping that wouldn't happen, and it didn't.

The next time that happens I will do my best (God forbid I face another Varus/Alistar.).
