New Ranked Restriction

Ok, I have 2 statements to make.

They made alot of benefits for the new players last season and this preseason. why not make one for veterans in gameplay?

  1. Some new players are really eager to start playing ranked games after reaching level 30. Which ruins the game for some people who are trying to climb to get their desired ranks. since these people who are "Brain Dead" most likely to get placed between Bronze 5 - Bronze 1, They might feel bad about themselves. so we should increase the level requirement for ranked.

  2. Some people ruin games for playing a fresh new bought champion for the first time in a ranked game. I feel like they should but mastery level restrictions on ranked games. such as [Only able to pick champions you have mastery 2 or higher.] this would cut some of the try-hards and toxic peoples frustrations making league of legends a better cleaner game.

I know that this would frustrate the new players to grind a lot of games to just play a same type of game in a different atmosphere, but I think this should take place since we have a lot more champions and runes combinations than season 2 or 3.

mastery doesn't mean shit LMFAO

you can get 2 mastery even if you feed your ass off constantly.

Definitely mastery should be a requirement. Honestly, the reason this won't happen is because people love to smurf for some reason and stomp lower ranks for fun. It's pretty cancerous, IMO.

The Mastery thing would actually kill smurfs. That's a good solution to the issue if it's deemed an issue.

I don't think they mind smurfs though.

As for the new player thing I strongly disagree. Several players, myself and my original duo being examples, placed gold after our first placement games way back.

Raising the level cap won't solve anything. True experience in ranked comes from playing ranked. Normals only teaches you the basics while also letting you experience random troll stuff people such as myself and all my friends do in norms, cuz it's not ranked.

Mastery restrictions are actually awful to implement. I play HoTS on and off and I cant play Ranked even though im like level 58 because i dont like 15 characters enough to get high mastery on them

How about no, cuz ur stuff pretty much ruin for those who smurf. rofl Not every fresh 30 means "new" players. There are some smurfs

When someone locks a champ in ranked and says "sorry first time don't flame if I feed' I just want to kms.

I don’t see how a mastery requirement could work honestly. What if you want to trade champs with a teammate but your suggested restriction stops you from picking the champion they wanted because you don’t have a high enough mastery.

I don't think increasing the level cap would help at all. I know when I first started ranked I didn't do as well because I was nervous and not used to games actually counting, not because of a skill deficiency. I got placed bronze 3 in my placements this season and was in Silver within like a week or two, so in my experience, climbing isn't really that hard if you have the skill. I do get though that its frustrating to have a brand new player on your team.

Gatekeepers only restrict progress.

Heroes of the Storm has a requirement where you need 14 heroes at "Level 5"

Riot should do the same.

Mastery 5 minimum to play a champion in ranked.

It will also stop people first timing new champions in ranked and ruining games.

i think a general score card would be appropriate. i also think there should be more game modes for casual players. i think a good idea for everyone would be limits on how many ranked you can play in 24 hours. or maybe bonus L.P. for taking a break. ranked should be there for a reason. I think a mastery criteria is not a bad idea. I don't feel bad for smurfs, it's not what the game is designed for.

At the same time it is a game and you have to adapt. there's also the risk of making ranked too serious. Honestly if you are trying to climb there you will be in games you are meant to lose.

Mastery 2 because if you've never played a champion a single time wtf is the logic allowing you to play ranked with them

ReySolomon3/1/2018, 8:24:58 AM1 votes

I've suggested this myself they should consider atleast.

Mastery doesn't mean shit. It just means you play the champion a lot. Who decided mastery means anything lol not even close baby.

Champion and level restrictions in ranked are pretty stupid. I don’t own some of my best champions on my smurfs but if I decide to buy one are u telling me I should have to level it up in normals? Also riot feels level 30 is enough time to let ppl play ranked. Before u could argue u don’t own champs and runes at that point but now runes are free. And honestly it’s pretty rare for a fresh level 30 to play with anything other then silver and bronze in there 10 provisionals unless they were supper lucky winning their first couple or they are not a new player and belong in gold plus anyway.
