[Suggestion] Gamemodes : Why do we summoners love and hate League Of Legends?
League of Legends, known for its amazing PvP and PvE, one of my all time favorite games, but also one of the most boring. We are constantly battling each other on 4 different maps, 3 of which don't fit the current scheme. In Summoners Rift, we have 4 different game types, ALL of which literally the same feel in-game. Blind-Pick, Team-Builder, and draft mode, nothing is changing besides the pre-game things such as champion select. Once you get in the game you have the same feel, and it just gets tiring. (don't get me wrong, I love this game I spent more time then I think is healthy playing this). Summoners Rift, the most used and updated map, which this new map and Season 5 underway, so many things have influenced change. As hyped as I was for the new Rift, counting down months, days, even seconds to its release. (By the Rito (Riot) you made me cry when I stayed up and online until 1:00 AM that night waiting for the new map >:'( ), I noticed something, it was like my moment of realization. The game didn't change. It was the same game, just with better mechanics. Same champions, same concept, and same feel. I am sure a lot of you summoners agree with this.
Okay, now into the main point, game modes. League of Legends is known for its most popular gamemode URF (Ultra Rapid FIre Mode). Now, before you think that i'm just another person who is going to complain and whine about bringing URF back, hold on just a second. People loved URF not because we could play it on the legendary Rift, but because it was actually CHANGING the game, IMPACTING DECISION MAKING & TEMPO, & CHANGING PLAYSTYLES. I don't see this in the new Nemesis Draft Gamemode, the same game, you can just choose your enemies champion.. Now I don't hate either because it is cool, but I mean c'mon Rito, who wants to be in a complete troll game for 30 minutes?
Dominion, why Rito, why do you continue to do this to us! After introducing Hexakill and Ascension, big hits and amazing game modes, WHY DOMINION OVER ASCENSION. Dominion is the least played gamemode, and you should know why. The map is outdated, and its overall just not fun. Now, say we had Hexakill as a permanent gamemode for Twisted Treeline? Not like there is one already there.... ARAM, its fun but come on Rito.... you introduce Snowdown, and Poro King , another big hit gamemode, you keep it for 2 weeks, and its never to be seen again. Why not just keep it to the Howling Abyss?? It doesn't hurt anything, in fact I think it would encourage people to play more. You get tired after the same old map, same old routes, same plans, just a different matchup. I say keep at least one gamemode per map excluding draft and blind picks. I think a lot of people may agree with me aswell. Replace Dominion with Ascension.... give ARAM a Draft Mode (or howling abyss)..... give the rift URF (had too try lol).
