What is the nature of the auto attack reset bug?

I'm reading the server notice about the auto attack reset bug. I play a large number of champions who use auto attack resets (Renekton, Shyvana, Sejuani, Nautilus, Trundle, etc.) What is the bug, and what champions is it effecting specifically if not all of the auto attack resets?

I was playing a few games as Nasus last night and when id go to q a minion, id just stand still, went on the Nasus mains subreddit and others are experiancing this as well. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Any AA reset will stop your previous attack commands irregardless of what you are attacking. So you'll AA reset, and have to re-enter an attack command or you would just sit there.

Mordekaiser So, does that make 172 bugs now? I've lost count.

I tried it myself on Sona just now in a custom, and didn't have this problem, nor did I notice it in any of the games I played with her yesterday. I assume she doesn't encounter the problem because her reset isn't technically on any of her spells.

Noticed some odd things with Renekton after you dash. May not happen very time, basically you dash (E) then there is a very long pause before the next auto, or you just stop, as if you pressed S.

I know I stopped attacking several times as Jax and didn't do anything, despite having autoattack activated in the settings

Activating any auto-attack enhancing ability, say Xin Zhao's Three Talon Strike or Shyvana's Twin Bite, caused the champion to be unable to auto-attack for ~1-1.5 seconds.

For example, if you were to activate Twin Bite while auto-attacking something, the bug would make your champion stop auto-attacking and walk towards your target instead. If you were to activate Twin Bite while out of melee range, the bug would cause your champion to walk towards your target and then stand still.
