Reposting for Visibility - Riot What About Hearing Impaired Players???

Not sure where to post this for Reds to see it ... so giving here a shot.

Hearing impaired players are getting left behind by poor design choices. Heroes that have long range abilities that only give alerts through audio are impossible for hearing impaired players. Ults like Sion's are actually impossible to prepare for simply because the player can't hear it.. That's not cool. In a game like League of Legends, which is based on competitive equality, players with hearing impairments are given a significant disadvantage with abilities that are alerted by audio cue only. My suggestion would be some sort of visual cue for the entire map if the audio cue can be heard from the whole map why not a visual cue to alert hearing impaired players??? If that would make the game too confusing or hurt the ability by adding "GAME-PLAY CLARITY" then level the playing field by taking out any sort of alert. This makes for substantially less counter-play, but it is fair for all players. It just makes sense in this day in age that we as a culture try to make our forms of entertainment more accessible. I am sure there are other abilities that rely solely on audio cues I just can't think of them at the moment.

Arguments against this could range to using examples of other games that put audio impaired players at a deficit i.e CSGO or others. These games ARE NOT the same as League of Legends. These games have no readily and easily accessible option to alleviate this deficit. Riot games could set an example for adding hearing impaired accessibility options to their game simply by adding visual cues where there otherwise are not any. I don't think this change would add to any sort of clutter or confusion and giving it as an option i.e colorblind mode is good enough for most. If you believe that changes like this one would negatively impact a hero then perhaps the ability in question needs to be looked at more closely to determine its viability in its own right.

League of Legends should be a fair, fun, and competitive game for all of its players not just those that live without any deficits. Riot Games, please help make this right.

Tl;DR - Hearing impaired are disadvantaged by audio cue only abilities like Sion's ultimate. Please RITO HELP!

Devs arent hearing impaired, so they dont know what will work for you. Therefore, you need to suggest FIXES, not just say "this doesnt work'.

Literally offered fixes in the post? Did you read it?

Don't really think sound is an issue. I've played for about 2 years now without sounds on, but that's just me.

The issue arises when a heads up is sound for a reason. Sounds are things a player typically tones out, and it keeps them on their toes. As much as I feel for impaired people, (my mother raised me that way, she works with special needs people) the large majority of the player base comes first. I wish a compromise was possible without sacrificing key gameplay elements, but it doesn't seem it is.
