Is TF in a healthy state right now?

Hey all, I'm gonna make it as short as I can; I really like TF, he was the first champ I ever got to lvl 5 mastery and is still the highest ranked out of the 3 or so I have now. I ask if he is healthy because i've seen a lot of people have their favorite champion surprised reworked to a state that either doesn't represent the champ they originally loved, or put in a state where it's no longer fun to play them for a certain reason. Example: I imagine a lot of Mordekaiser mains didn't feel as good playing him when he had so much power in his Q and was recognized as op across the community to the point where players were ridiculed for playing him, and I can personally recall being harassed for playing him because like many others I had jumped on the "op" train. I've since grown to enjoy his kit for genuine reasons but still.

Anyways, is TF in a healthy state? I feel he is fair with being able to stun only one person at a time with his W, not to mention it isn't guaranteed to be gold unless you pick it (which can be hard in panicked situations, not to mention dodge chance getting more and more incorporated) I would like to hear what you all have to say about this, don't hold back, I don't wanna get blindsided with nerfs and reworks

Yes TF is and has been in a balanced state for awhile now. Also what are you refering to by "Dodge Chance"?

Sorry, I meant just dodge in general, with Jax and Shen having it I doubt they wouldn't use it anymore past them. Of course they may very well never use it for anything in the future, but it's effectively a spell shield against TF's pick a card.

ye he is really good as long as you are good enough to survive lane against assassins you have a really big impact on the game

I feel the same way, I just wanted to ask because I've seen people call him op because of the gold card.

One important thing is he's insanely good against champions without a low cd instant gapcloser. Volibear Udyr Shyvana are becoming really popular, but I HATE when there's a tf on the other team when i'm shyv because he can help his team kite you so easily especially if they have Ashe Ezreal Kalista Vayne (Expecting this to be relevant info when shyv starts getting banned like udyr...)

Well, Let's see:

  • Ranged
  • Strong waveclear
  • Low cd point and click CC
  • Mana sustain in lane
  • Global ultimate giving him huge map presence
  • His E has a strong scaling paired up with Lich bane+Ludens = insane dmg.

I'm surprised he isn't considered broken lol. He's "balanced", he's not that difficult to play but I would say requires some good knowledge to pull off his ult right.

Yeah, it's mostly knowledge of the champ rather than actually using his kit that makes him difficult to use at times. Especially in assassin match-ups. Thank you for the feedback!

Alot of things seem unbalanced on paper but can be complete trash in practice. TF is balanced in the fact that he requires a very good player to play against people who know what they're doing. Any assassin mid lane will destroy TF unless the TF is experienced or the assassin is a potato.

You should see what happens when it's both ;)
