Am I the only one? [Kogmaw thread]

Am I the only one who doesn't really want Kog to be reliant on trinity force? The more I play him compared to his on-hit build, the more I realize I just don't like it.

Even though I know it definitely is one of the best if not the best items on him, it still "feels" weak on him. It also feels like if you mess up any sheen proc at any time during a duel or team fight could mean the entire fight crumbling and with it, you losing. So because of that, he seems very demanding on timing skills perfectly to proc as many sheens as possible during the fight.

This combined with him being reliant on the already (assumed) weak Bork means that he just feels lack luster in all aspects of what an ADC is and is supposed to do His mid game seems to be okay, having a strong early power spike from trinity force. His early isn't quite as bad honestly since maxing Q is a thing and helps trades and farm alike.

But his late game still seems weak! It isn't anything a twitch or jinx can't do better, and are both better at multi killing in a team fight.

I completely agree with you. All his abilities scale with only AP except his ult so using them renders them useless (damage wise) and only used for utility (armor/mr resistance shred negligible and slow is also negligible). So essentially you're using half of your abilities as a sheen proc. His mana costs are too high to do extended trades and Triforce doesn't have crit anymore which helps scale into late game. Kog doesn't need the extra CDR. I've tried several builds on him that don't use Triforce. The only one that seems to compete is Runaans, BoRK, IE but because of how shitty the itemization this season is (not including on-hit), Kog is actually just in a bad spot.

I've tried getting Devs attention on this issue but no one responds.

Unfortunately trying to get Riot to talk about Kog is like trying to squeeze water from a stone.

And any time Riot does talk about him, we're being told rather than talked to.

Riot seriously needs to open up some dialog with Kog's player base.
