Recent **buffs**: Veigar
I understand that the idea behind the Veigar changes are to promote a healthier game, one with more counter-play, and less unfair or toxic game mechanics. However, I think the changes made were premature. Veigar had a low winrate before the changes, and it has dropped to an ever lower low since. Pre 5.4 changes he needed the stun to happen instantly to have a fighting chance (and to reward good plays/speed placement etc) against any kind of assassin or gap closing champion, but that no counter-play game mechanic is toxic. Probably he needs to have his kit reworked around a slightly different concept in order for him to no longer be toxic in that way, but also be allowed to have a fun/meaningful game-play experience.
IDEA Perhaps he needs to instead of having a giant cage stun/or just cage, have a really large aoe snare? Snare doesn't prevent players from casting (most) spells meaning there is still the possibility of counter-play, but it also allows Veigar the chance to 100-0 people, and doesn't mean that all of his skins have to be redone with a completely new look for a completely new ability.
Snare would allow Veigar to: ~be able to fulfill her current fantasy of 100-0ing people because they would be easy targets ~still have counter-play ~It could be made to look kind of like a net (or a santa bag!) that champions feet get stuck in somehow?(easy to change visually though I think) ~it could still be instant cast which gives veigar the tools he needs to not get insta gibbed ~it could be scaled down in size because current size (as an aoe snare) sounds kind of broken op
