Make mute, mute pings as well
The ability to mute a user is wonderful, but the ping spam they're still able to do even after being muted isn't. Please add pings to the things that are muted.

I agree this would be a step in the right direction. I've had to turn off my ping volume entirely because I had one person spam pinging often as they could, which really hurt my ability to help the 3 people on my team not being jackasses.
I would suggest the ability to individually mute chat and pings from problematic players because a good mia ping from a muted player can still be useful.
I don't think basic mute should mute pings, but there should be the option to do so, also to mute their champ when they are spamming an emote
i wouldn't be adverse to adding a separate mute specifically for pings.
Basic mute shouldn't mute pings. I will pitch that in with others who said the same. I want to hear pings sometimes even when someone is toxic in chat.
if someone is muted, pings are the only way they can communicate with you. i do not want this at all.
but i understand your point that spamming pings are is annoying. just go into options and mute the SOUND of the pings.
Don't you think that might cause more frustration, especially since the team is trying to communicate in an effective way through the use of pings? There already is a temporary ping ban after spamming so much..
I don't think a ping mute is a good idea, because if you chat mute and ping mute, suddenly the person you muted completely has absolutely no way to communicate with you in a cooperative way.
I know i'd get frustrated if I had no way to warn Person A of an incoming gank because they muted me both on chat and pings, and they end up dying.

Dat ping where U have to like alt and drag, ya know the one that tells you who's pinging and why. Dat stuff noice. I'd advise against muting those. BUT
the dumb one that doesn't tell U who's pinging, making an annoying useless sound and can even be used to reduce map visibility....why da heck does it exist
Look in the game settings. I haven't heard a ping in more than 12 months ... well, Riot did break the ping mute option for a month when they released the new UI.
