So are ap mages with no ad steroids, whose attack animation stuns you for 2 sec without the ability to cast spells, supposed to take +ad item, that has no tankiness attached to it, just to escape a cc. wow, such pro itemization. Last time, i checked, after 30 min, every simple Q of most mages deals 1000 dmg, so with Quicksiver Sash you manage to "cleanse" a stun, but still die in 0.00 sec due to the damage said Q spell does. Wow, so pro itemization.

League of pro items: Active: This button cannot be clicked. When you click this button, if you are stunned, you suicide, saving yourself the shame of watching the "is stunned" animation. It's a pro item, it just goes you 2 sec forward into the future after your death.

Seeing as QSS comes with MR and doesn't have to be upgraded, yes, it is pretty good. You see an enemy Malzahar or such? Buy a 1250 gold item and literally cleanse his only hard CC and half his damage or more. Even then, mages have Zhonyas (2.5 seconds of invulnerability) which ADs have no way to get. Sure, AP's can't upgrade QSS into a magical perfect AP item, but they can still buy the QSS if they need it while having Zhonyas.

It's called item 3157. Yes, it isn't exactly the same, but there is a reason. For AD champions, their damage source is auto attacks, something that doesn't really have any kind of time gating. They (especially marksmen) rely on putting out sustained, prolonged damage, and as such, the "I don't take damage" kind of defensive item for them grants MS for repositioning, and removes anything that might be holding them in place. Additionally, most ADCs (of all kinds) don't have a reliable hard CC, such as a stun (yes some do, but most of the time, it is easily dodged or avoided)

Now for mages and other AP champs, abilities reign supreme. And abilities are hard gated by cooldowns and time. Added to that that a lot of AP champs have a stun or snare or something of that nature, and you get to the fact that most of the time, the only thing an AP champ needs to survive is that one skill to come off cooldown for them to stop the enemy and get away, and this is where a stasis that you can't be damaged in comes in handy
