They got the nerf wrong. Challenging smite still marks you for six seconds, but basic attacks now deal true damage over three seconds.
Pinker 101 votesThey didn't get it wrong, they simply put it in as few words as possible because they felt what their notes said was self explanatory. They said true damage duration was reduced to 3 seconds from 6 Which is what's happening. Either way, it's still not a nerf that has any meaning. E:they did neglect to mention the change to DoT though
Jamener1 votesHad Jax use this vs me. He came to lane level 2 and proceeded to snowball. He then took over our jungle top-side. I don't think it's right that a top-laner can succeed with a jungle item and smite. He's getting the best of both worlds: the lane experience and gold, and the jungle.
