Why do you still play support?

Okay so no this is not gonna be a thread where i ramble about "OOOH IT'S SO HARD TO PLAY SUPPORT AND IT'S EVERYONE ELSE'S FAULT" blah blah blah. No i want to know why do you guys play support? I've mained this role ever since i saved up to buy Thresh a month after i started playing and it was fun. But now i've become slightly rusty and i blame myself for it as i really just did not want to play support as i was sick and tired of seeing champs that i just despise in my lane. Champs like Leona Alistar MissFortune Blitzcrank Brand andSoraka Now again this thread does have a point and it's not just for me bitching for no reason. I want to ask all the support mains out there why still play support? Everyone has those champs they despise in lane no matter what role but add that on top of all the other things we have to deal with....why put up with it?

Of course maybe i'm just unlucky or maybe i'm not seeing the true potential of support so by all means if i am rambling about shit that is only a 1% chance of happening on average or if i'm just being dumb please tell me because i would hate to give up a role i put so much love and time into to because of a few off games or dumb people being too toxic for their own good health.

Sometimes I just want to get into a game so after waiting for 15 minutes in que I'll switch to support "secondary" and get into a game instantly.

Someone has to support.. Otherwise the game never starts :(

I'll be that somebody who will receive all the hate when our team does poorly.. Just so i can play some SR

I haven't seen alot of new supports lately its always the same people and you see them constantly every 3-4 games which is a shame :(

I can't last hit and helping the team even when it isn't noticed feels good, it throws me off when I get my secondary role instead

Support is a worthless role IMO, especially in low silver. The team needs to know how to utilize you, and you need to know times / vision control.

If the team doesn't know how to utilize you, the game is too frustrating because you bought utility items and can't do much...

I played support for a long time because I enjoyed the role. Managing vision, operating with less gold, defending carries / initiating fights, tracking objectives, and the rest of it. It's just a fun role that understandably isn't for everyone. I'm back to ADC since my duo came back and mains support, but I'll still queue it secondary whenever I can.

I play Support because I queue Jungle/Support and get Support 90% of the time. I hate being a laner because I have to put up with bloodthirsty opponents that won't let me farm and I have zero interest in proving my superiority 1 v 1.

i don't. i stopped. it's too frustrating.

you are relying on the abilities of someone else.

Someone who does often not see opportunities you provide someone who - most of the time - can not cs.

so many games where i perfectly zone the enemy laners from my adc and from their cs to notice 10 mins in that my adc has 30cs.

someone who blames you when he dies. someone who farms when you provided the perfect engage. someone who does not use his trinket to ward but flames you for not warding enough. someone who rather last-hits than getting an easy take-down. someone who makes a fuss about you last-hitting an enemy who was out of his reach anyways and isn't even happy about the assist or the ensuing free-farm. someone who you hand-fed kills but who then starts a "this is all me" attitude and "my team is trash, i am carrying"

i could go on, but whats the point.

I am very low elo. i can not trust an adc at my elo to do good at all.

and then there is the dynamic queue SNAFU where most of the time i am up against pre-3's or pre-4's. when they communicate while i don't because i am solo-queue, they have a huge advantage.

I am still waiting on the Solo Queue, @Riot!!!
