Riot said they didn't want to bother with the mode since they wanted to focus on others. Additionally, they said the hype for Urf mode died down (when it didn't) Lastly Riot messed up the game too much to even adapt it for Urf again.

Pretty sad Riot.

This has been my favorite modified game mode I have ever played. When I can shred through a malphite in under a second it is a good day.

They deleted it the same way they delete anything else you love about league - and arbitrarily to force you into ranked SR.

I am very over U.R.F. I was over it halfway through the first release of it. If you have to remove champions and balance what is suppose to be a stress free joke game mode, then I say it isn't worth the time. It was also getting bad because people started to yell and flame allies for not picking "op urf mode" champions and started taking it too seriously.

Personally, I'd rather see doom bots come back. Incredibly challenging and, more importantly, far easier to balance (or not balance) because you were playing against bots and not other people. Far less toxic environment that provided a challenge that, lets fact it, intermediate bots don't even come close to.
