I am so disappointed in the state Zyra is in

After maining her for the majority of season 5 and 6, Riot decided to rework her. I was optimistic for the rework, and on paper it looked great until I saw the number changes.

Her damage and scaling were nerfed significantly in favor of more (weaker) plants and pigeonholing her into the support role.

After realizing how nerfed she was, it caused me to leave the game for a significant amount of time (around 1 year). What they changed about her was good, but she came out a squishy cc support which is not why I played her.

She is no longer the burst damage combo mage she used to be. Champions like Brand, Vel'Koz, and even Veigar all do way more damage and have more range, cc, and burst than she does.

She is no longer a viable mid lane mage, and as support she is falling lower on the totem pole.

She is in desperate need of being looked at Rito

Yeah

Rito is just going to make her more of a support. I don't think they know how to make her a viable mid and a viable support so she's just a support to them.

Alright, for the most part I'mma have to agree with you; I've even seen posts about increasing Zyra's AP scaling's so she can actually be an AP mid lane mage again, like intentionally planned.

However though, I do just want to put in my own two cents that Zyra was actually pretty strong after her intentional rework. I'm pretty sure there were then after some nerfs followed by some slight buffs and then some changes? But overall, personally, despite all considered, I honestly still love Zyra's changes regardless of the nerfs it brought with it. It plays more into her theme, gives her ult's buff to plants more of a use, as well as is just fun. (Although I think perhaps the range of her passive could just maybe be decreased some so you don't have those few seeds that decide to plant themselves literally a mile away.)

But, once more, yes, I would like to see something done with Zyra.

I hate laning mid against Zyra. Her plants do more damage than a champion on her own. Anytime you go in on her she can just walk away and her plants alone will 100% you before you can walk out of their range.
