All this New META talk...

Duo mid lane COULD technically work, however, wouldn't it be more effective to switch around the other lanes? Putting Top in bottom would have massive advantages, especially if the top were a tank. They would be able to resist the ADC and support, while the ADC and support can either go top or mid. In mid, the advantage of ADC and support is they can gank both lanes. Helpful right? But couldn't duo top go and get rift herald? Rift heralds buff can be detrimental to the enemy if either a mage or a top laner gets it. Mages with it can be helpful so maybe putting mid to top bot to mid and top to bot? Or could you even adjust your name depending on which side of the MAP your on? Purple side with ADC and support top allows access to the red buff. with bottom blue? There are so many options, not even the new META, Just regular META could work!

Well, there's a reason the meta is how it is. It works. Summoners have tried various setups while this was still a new game. They found that 1 tanky/bruiser top, AP carry/Assassin mid, any jungler, and an ADC/Support duo bot work the best.

Duo top as historically been a horrible strategy. The only reason they know how to do this in the LCS and diamond is that while they duo top with an ADC and support against their top laner, they also take all camps on that side and the support roams. Allowing them to maintain the same level as the other top laner. Lower elos have no idea how to do this so it wouldnt work.

Duo any lane against a single laner is almost always a bad idea as that person will just sit under tower and CS and out level you all game. Duo top is something you do when you are first learning the game. Not in serious play. lol.gg says duo top has a 43 percent win rate. Duo mid is at 37 percent. And any game without a jungler is 37 percent as well.

It doesn't work
