Tips on becoming a better League Player

So I've been playing Leavue for a while now, not just on this account but others too and I've noticed as I level up, I just keep getting worse and worse. Everyone is so much better than me and because of this League is starting to feel bad to play because what's the point in trying in a game you're trash at? I haven't given up fully though - that's why I'm asking for tips on getting better. Does anyone know any SPECIFIC tricks that helped them improve in the game or things they focused on so they became better. Please share your wisdom with a poor soul like myself.

Heres a few things.

  1. Dont be worrying much about alts. While you are still new to the game there is no point at all to them. I only started doing alts about 3 or 4 years after I had started myself.

  2. Stop worrying about if you are good or not. Trust me..... it is pretty safe to say that nobody is "good" when they start. Nobody is "good" until about a year or so of playing a couple times a week at least. By then they are generally "pretty decent" unless they are used to games like this, and then they could be actually good.

  3. Only worry about getting better. You will be slowly but surely getting better with time.... some things i suggest doing is play every champion in the free rotation in a bot game. Read the skills, pay attention to how they play. Find some champions that fit how you like to play and then look up some guides for them on google, youll find quite a few videos on almost every champion. Some are older, so try to keep it to as recent as you can find however.

  4. Look up some builds for if you are new.... but do not be afraid to experiment to see how it works for you. One site you could use is called "u.gg", it seems to be pretty current. If you have questions after you have tried the build it recommends..... then feel free to ask on the forums and generally there is plenty of people bored and willing to help. Just be sure to take some of the comments with a grain of salt.

  5. Listen to some music while playing. Unless you are in a voice chat with someone, I recommend listening to music 100%. Does not really matter what type, just whatever you enjoy. If you want parodies? Instalok, Plentakill, Natsumiii are some of the ones I have listened to a lot. They do league of legends parodies, though idk if they STILL are.... but yeah. Otherwise there is the songs that Riot has the copyright to? I think is what is going on there.... like Popstars, Ignite, Get Jinxed.... etc. They have some pretty decent music that was made for them.

  6. Mute people who are trying to flame and report them after game. There is 0 reason to explain yourself to them, and there is 0 reason to talk back to them at all. If you are not intentionally feeding etc, then you will not have a problem at all, no matter what they say. Most of the ones who are flaming are also ones that have perma banned accounts already.... so they are just throwing a 2 year old temper tantrum. Mute them and do not add them or accept them is the general rule of thumb.

  7. Work on your farming skills. When you have about 10 mins that you dont want to do an actual game.... but you need something to do (like waiting for someone to be done with a game possibly) then go to a custom game, set it with no bots and start. Pick a champion you like playing in a lane and go to the recommended lane for them. Buy no items. Use no abilities. Work on LAST HITTING ONLY minions (or just last hitting in general) and the goal is 100 cs (creep score) in 10 minsish. This will help when you are in lane. 2-3 waves of minions (roughly 12-18 cs) is roughly equal to a full on kill. So farming is VERY important.
