How long did it took you guys to get "good" at the game?

I'm a massive perfectionist and I always beat myself up whenever I can't do something. It affects me so much more than it would with a normal person. I've been playing League for a month and I'm rlly trash and I'm desperately trying to improve but it's hard because I always get this irrational fear of failure and when I do fail (which is like 90% of the time - im trash lol) it makes the fear get worse and it makes me so frustrated, disappointed and angry with myself. I know it isn't healthy but that's the way it is with me. So, just to make me feel better - how long did it take you to get good? My definition of good is anything above silver I guess (lol idk). I've only played for a month and I feel like I should be Faker's skill lvl by now but if I can get an idea of how long it took the rest of you, I feel like I'd beat myself up about my failures less.

Obviously, that depends on what you mean by "good." It took me until my third season to get to gold; that's like the top 40%, so at that point you are better than most people. I consider that pretty good.

2 - 3 years.

I still make misplays and mistakes constantly. I count my own errors every game.

It took me 1 yr to level an account to 30 because leveling was long asf and boring.

And then it took me progressively 1 yr after another to rank up, started Bronze 1 LMAO

But after getting quite good at Plat level if not Diamond boosted level.

I can consistent get Plat easy on new smurf acc. Have 3 hard stuck plat acc right now

i dont remember but i became better once i learned to ignore the flames people give me. the trick is to not focus on winning. because if you focus on only it and work too hard you'll never accomplish it. and even if you did you wont feel good about it. just focus on yourself first. once you can start to feel good about a game regardless of the outcome then you'll be good at the game.
