Damage Text + GP = 0 Clarity
So I've been playing a fair bit of GP since his rework was released and I've come to the conclusion that this damage text change when ever it happened is.... Wait for it.... Terrible. Now let me say that I've been playing since beta so I was quite used to the old system so maybe I have a bias towards that old system. But anyway here we go
With this damage text I can not tell when I'm getting a crit or when it's a spell effect or anything. I can't tell the difference. Now when I shot a barrel with my Q I always think I'm getting a crit because the numbers are bigger and it shows the damage icon next to the number.... WRONG! Nope this is a special spell damage so we highlight this and it's not a crit. It pisses me off because I see the numbers show up bigger and I think cool that should be doing.... oh wait it did like no damage wait that wasn't a crit? WTF do I ever crit? It's very confusing about when I actually do and don't critical strike especially using these barrels.
This lack of clarity is driving me bonkers. Numbers should only be bigger when I critically strike. Now I do like the clarity of the multishot / dots how they are a slightly different color seeing that is no problem and I know what is going on. Maybe move GP's Barrel explodes over to something like that or just make it show like a regular auto or something? I don't know what the best solution is but right now it's just so unclear the damage I am dealing.
