Riven? At HIS elo? Pssaw! Not in my house...

Riven I know what you're thinking (probably not but for plots sake, go with it), "how could a bronze 1 like this guy know anything about playing Riven?" Well, I advise you to:

  1. Subscribe
  2. Call me a sellout
  3. Watch the video as many times as possible to see how wrong you are :^) After a few games (15-30) I managed to play Riven in ranked and not feed (OMG). With nearly unlimited outplay potential, and a strong early game, Riven is a very solid pick for high elo. However, in bronze to silver, she is often bullied early game to the point where she is virtually useless and is a dead weight. This is my question for you: Is Riven a champion that needs to be changed to make more challenging? Is she too hard and should be made easier to play? Or do you think she is at a good level where she's at?

I always found her strong enough to play period. OTP's just max E in a bad matchup. Say they play against an extremely annoying lane; maybe Pantheon or Illaoi. They can max E. Even Dekar has his own method, which is taking small creeps from the enemy jungle for the fast level 2. While this video was okay, not all that impressive (Let be honest, fed and ahead), she does have a LOT of combos, and you are forced to think about which you will use under whatever circumstance it may be.

And, for personal personal curiosity, what are some of those combos? I know about the E+W+hydra AA Q AA Q AA Q+R, but I haven't put it into practice yet. I'm interested in really learning Riven and being able to bring out her full potential.

So she has plenty of combos, but mostly just exploiting her Q. I don't actually remember most of them. I take fervor for the most part. Cleaver too. Then you just have to aa between everything. I also enjoy titanic hydra atm because of fervor stacking so hard late game. It lets you E+AA+Q+AA+W+AA+TH+Q if that's a non-ulted combo. Then you just smack the ER at the beginning. You could also just proc both passive stacks at the start of the combo with the titanic hydra looking something amongst the lines of **E+R+AA+TH+Q+AA+W+AA+Q+AA+E+AA+R+Q **(40% cdr)summoner 4 Riven (Sorry for the late response, I don't use forums much.)
