What determines S ranks / Keys? THIS ISNT FAIR

I dont know what determines "S" ranks and how one gets Keys, but I have 2 chests and 0 keys, and have gotten better scores than my S ranked teammates but only gotten an "A" rank, and no keys. Heck, I havent gotten a key in weeks, and all 4 of my chests are claimed for this month.

In this one, I got a better score than YI by 7 kills and -1 deaths, but he got 2 more assists and somehow got an S where I didnt?

Please, someone help me sort this out, because I really want more keys and atleast some "S" ranks where I deserve them.

Oh dear god not this crap again....

Ranking is not determine by KDA or your ally "score" It is determine by how you do compare with said champ to the global average of said champ.

That mean not just KDA, but also:

Ward place

Wards destroyed

Tower destroyed (either last hit or assist)

Dragons taken (either last hit or assist)

Baron

Potions used

Summoner spells used

damage taken

using an elixir

Etc.

I can go 50/0/25 as Master Yi with 10 CS, never damage or take a towers/dragon (but allies take them) and end up with a B- While a Yi who goes 20/3/15 with 200 CS, took 5 dragons, Rift Hearld and Baron, destroyed 20 wards while placing 15 wards and used an elixir ends up with an S rank.

Sure you've got many kills and few deaths, but your CS is rather lackluster. Remember that the ranking system contributes everything that you have done during the game, including assists and warding (maybe idk). For getting keys though, now that's a real mystery.

Alright, there is actually an easy solution to that. Look at the CS difference between your other team members getting the S. The Yi almost has 100 more CS than you. And everything you do in game affects the way you get graded. If I had a guess the reason why you did not get an S is because of your lack of farm. Thats always a good thing to work on. League put that CS makes a difference so it lets the player know there is more for you to work on. So in this case the game was letting you know you need to work on something else for you to get that S ranking. Fix farming habits. It will also help you gain ranking. Hope this helped!
