And now I'm matched w/ silvers on my team. I'm plat. Which wouldn't be bad... if I were matched up against Silvers, which isn't the case. How is it that I get 1 to two silvers on my team EVERY game and the lowest on the enemy team is Gold I? Makes sense right?
Matchmaking gets kinda wonky when you're high-tier and on a losing streak. It tries to match you with people who are around your MMR, but often winds up just putting you with whoever it finds because of long queue times. After long enough in queue, it'll widen the ranking range that it searches in until, eventually, it gets like this: where it's found 1 full team but keeps winding the matchmaking parameters to fill the other, and you wind up with silver players playing with/against gold and plat players. It's a lot more prevalent in Diamond, where you have even low diamond players often winding up playing with/against challenger players, and not just because they're smurfing. If you want to stop getting silvers on your team, turn your losing streak around. Play champions who can hard carry games solo, even if their entire team is a bunch of boosted monkeys, carry, get your LP back, and get your MMR back.
