Annie's Stun/Twisted Fate Gold Card

Annie doesn't lose her stun when she casts Q and the opponent goes invulnerable but Twisted Fate loses his gold card in the same situation. It's the same mechanic it should work the same way. Pls upvote to get this attention.

It's the same mechanic

The mechanics of those two abilities aren't even remotely similar.

I honestly wish they would behave similarly, I've missed too many stuns as Annie by casting qw and whiffing the w.

They're different mechanics.

Annie's spell is a targeted ability that relies on her spell registering a hit to trigger her stun passive. Popping her Q mid flight causes this flag to not trigger, so her passive isn't activated (and thus wasted).

Twisted Fate's cards are an auto-attack enhancer, and are subject to the rules governing auto attacks. This generally involves all effects being associated to an auto attack as it is launched. If it is interrupted, all effects are lost--so if you Zhonya's someone who threw a 1% crit chance auto attack, they won't have it available still on their next auto attack.

Pantheon's stun also goes on cooldown when the enemy goes untargetable if I remember correctly.

Same execution (Single target ability) NOT the same mechanic (Stacked passive ability versus activated ability)

Riot has already commented on the idea of Annie losing her stacks, and they like her way she is. Go look up her MYMU page, Beluga Whale comments on it and on other things. They won't do it so stop asking for it.

on cast and on hit/on atack are not the same.

Annie's stun is consumed by an offensive spell hit.

If the spell doesn't hit it won't consume.

TF's gold card is an auto attack.

They should add more animations to Annie's spells with stun to make em look more powerful, then fix that, Cause now it just feels like a little swirley dress that suddenly flies off Annies gut onto the enemy to stun them when her spell hits... Nah it should be powered into the spell, not just a little indicator her "sadist" mode is active.

TF's is an auto attack

Epicanian1/20/2017, 3:33:30 AM1 votes

It's different, because annie's Q is a targeted spell and TF's gold card is an enhanced autoattack. Annie loses the stun when the spell hits someone, but TF loses as soon as he autoattacks

As much as I would love to be able to do this It'd probably feel a bit wonky, not to mention that It would make outplaying Twisted Fate less rewarding because anyone who goes untargetable or uses Zhonya's gets punished regardless of timing it right.

And it would make it so TF doesn't even have to think before uses his W on someone, because it's not like dodging it would help if he keeps it up anyways. All in all TF is pretty balanced right now and doesn't really need this buff to his W, especially considering it could very easily make him a good pick into his counters.

They should work the same way? Do you mean that Twisted Fate shouldn't lose his gold card? Or do you mean that Annie should lose her stun?

Perhaps Annie should lose her stun; she cast a spell, and her 5th spell is supposed to stun. Twisted Fate should still lose his gold card, though.

Heres my thing. Annie is a short ranged mage. Her only real defense is she is so powerful in her range that people have to play around her CDs. TF has much more range and his CC is on a much shorter CD. TF can poke from afar before committing which is a option that Annie doesn't have. So I feel this is justified.
