Solution to the item issue?
I believe that a majority of players are frustrated with the way certain champions are utilizing items, which are not actually meant for them to use. Ezreal is a champ that comes to mind, but we also have fiora and akali creating problems. Champs like fiora and akali are able to build full tank, but remain effective which is where the problem lies. Now, this is just a thought, but would it possible to create item pools for each champion class to pick based on their assigned roles? For example, if you lock in an adc champion, then you would not be able to build an item like
or
.
Now this would require a lot of work on Riot's end because they would need to add some items and take a much closer look at where champions are played, but I cannot think of any cons to this. Helps increase the new player experience by limiting the number of items they see when playing a champion. Creates a meta where people are actually picking champs for their specific roles and creating more balanced team comps.
I am mainly posting this because I am curious to hear if this is even possible? I have not thought of all the strange situations, but I do think this is an interesting way to look at items/champ roles.
TL:DR Each class of champ is limited to specific items that they can build. All champs have two classes they belong to, so they could pull out of two item groups.
