So can we admit that the RGM is a complete failure yet?

Yes, I'm still bitter that we lost Dominion (a game mode that had a consistent player base), so that we could get garbage like Nexus Siege and Overcharge.

The fundamental problem with the rotating game modes is that they just aren't fun, but there are other basic problems that I see with the Rotating Game Mode:

  1. The game mode isn't fun to play.
  2. The game mode isn't fun to play repeatedly, (play it once and forget it).
  3. The game mode excludes players by limiting the champions that can be selected for the game mode, so people can't play their mains, and must play different champions against players that do main those champions. Unfun.
  4. The game mode excludes roles. ADC-only is only fun to ADCs.
  5. Too much time is invested by staff into games that meet the above criteria.

Let the down-voting begin.

If it had that, it wouldn't have gotten removed.

Yeah the major problem with most of these game modes is that they exclude too much of the champion roster. I see we have marksmen and assassin-only modes, so where is the bruiser mode or the tank/support mode? Not saying we need those, but if they're going to make game modes that only a select part of the roster can participate in, they might as well do it for all of the classes. RGMs should be all about getting to play what you want, instead of being more constrained than a game on SR.
