When It Comes To Wukong

Hello everyone. I am a wukong main and I love playing him. But, in your guy's opinion, is wukong better as a top laner or a jungler? Which position should I play as? You see, everytime I top, mana is an issue (any tips on playing wukong top would be appreciated), and when I jungle, its fun too but ganks arent very strong pre 6 (sorde of but not much). So, any thoughts on which position I should play when playing wukong?

The jungle kicks his ass right now. So I feel he is still better top even without mana pots. You harass should mostly be E -> aa -> Q -> aa and run with or without clone depending on how safe/well you pulled it off.

And if you can try to aa -> Q -> aa people when they farm that's about 200+ damage.

Go top bro, the jungle hits him really hard now.

For mana issues, it's simply a matter of timing your engages well. Take opportunities, but don't force them, if you know what I'm saying. Also, simply lean on relying on your Q more than your E (look at how cheap it is).

Now I'm not saying he's objectively better top but playstyle wise I feel like he belongs top (I played a lot of him early S4, occasionally do a match or two with him) It's not that he's bad jungle it just feels off imo. I feel like he is so much more enjoyable in lane, toying with your opponent constantly telling them to improve their skills and messing with them with your clone and such.

For mana issues its hard to say, I used to love taking a couple mana pots after first back so I could be more aggressive, (and sometimes having 1 to start with depending on matchup going longsword +3) I haven't done much of him this season so not much I could say other then hardcore mana management..

As TehNacho said use your Q more than your E, you can really take advantage of the increased AA range to bop someone on the head while their CSing from relative safety, leaving most Es for all ins. If all your trades involve a E-Q-W your going to oom quickly.

Don't ask people here. Just watch Allorim on YouTube.

Oh wukong...

Balance wise, Riot considers him a Jungler so most if not all his buff/nerf are going to go according to the jungle meta.

Strategically I believe he is better top, he doesn't have the power to be a late game carry neither the pressure to become an early gank jungler because of his lack of cc. Blue solves the mana issue but you have to share it with your mid laner so it only helps in the very early levels. Sustain is bad, clears are decent at best. He really is missing a built in slow since red buff alone is not enough
