What the hell won 9 of my 10 placements and got b5?

I won 9 of my 10 placements only losing my 4th placement match. I did rather well was playing poppy jungle or Leona support, I was b3 at the end of the last season now I lost all the work it took to climb from the depths of b5. What the hell I mean I have a 59% win rate as of the end of the season, I play my placements thinking maybe I'll get to b2, or stay b3 I'd be happy with either just so I can continue to progress. NOPE! get dropped straight back into bronze 5 without a single explanation. I WON 9 PLACEMENT MATCHES, why am I punished for that. Seriously this system is ridiculous. I didn't ask to be raised to Diamond 5 for winning them. I wanted to simply KEEP MY EFFORT I spent months on back at the end of the season. I deserve at least that for winning 90% of my placement matches. Apparently riot doesn't think so, screw me right? I mean it's not like it didn't take me 3 months of constant grinding just to reach bronze 4 right? Seriously I'm about done with this game this is the most retarded system I can imagine. I just wanted to stay b3 ATLEAST for winning this placement matches with 0 games in negative K/D ratio and at least one tower kill per game. I'm just done, might as well go play a new game since all my work was wasted. FIX THIS SYSTEM RIOT

You will always get placed lower after placements. And B3 to B5 isn't that far of a drop that is like 2 days of playing good to get that back.

The point of placements is to see if you can even stick with your old mmr. It wont take you from bronze and give you gold for winning 9 games that's not how it works. When you do your first placements you can do that but it will always be based off of your old mmr after that point. So don't think a new season will get you out of bronze you have to do that shit yourself like everyone else did.

Because LAST season. Think of it as your qualifiers. League wants you to prove that you deserve to keep your rank (which you technically did because bronze). I think placements is a horrible term for them. I'm pretty sure the one Riot uses is provisional which may as well be qualifiers.

They're not deciding where to place you. They already know that because you played Ranked last year.

If you can go 10 full games and not have a negative KDA i assure you climbing out of bronze won't be too difficult.

Just wait until the end of this year when you end the season Silver II and get placed back down into Bronze IV. It's not a grind. It's a climb. [slayer-jinx-wink]

Just use the boards search to find a thread explaining it. This question has been asked by hundreds of people and answered many times. You will always be placed low.

Going from bronze 3 to 5 is like not even a drop. There are people that I play with that went from plat to bronze because of a few bad games. And if you ever get that far that's how it works. You will get better and climb faster and it will go away at the next season. It happens to everyone and if you play right you will have your old rank back in a matter of days.
