Aurelion Sol Rework Plox

Can we see an Aurelion Sol rework sometime in the near future? If not an entire rework at least a tweak to his kit. This guy is supposed to be this badass star dragon who literally creates galaxies. But Vayne walks up to him with a crossbow and a couple bolts later he crumples. He is just super underwhelming for what he is supposed to be and hardly sees any play time.

I love the idea of him, but I feel like the translation to an in-game champion was fumbled and leaves him with a ton of potential that he isn't living up to. If I may offer an opinion/recommendation - I really like the idea of Aurelion Sol as being a tank who can shrug off damage relatively easily. He's a collection of cosmic materials, an icicle from Anivia or a Bolt from Vayne, a sword from Garen or Tryndamere, none of these things would really effect such an entity as Aurelion Sol. In retaliation for their arrogance in opposing him, he would sweep them aside with crowd control rather than outright damage. He's the forger of stars, not the extinguisher.

Okay lets just make him immune to damage.

Satisfied lore boy?

thats not very constructive

Neither is wanting riot to rework a battle mage into a tank.

Hes advocating for for him to be immune to damage from "worldly" weapons.

they're talking about thematics, which SHOULD inform gameplay to an extent. i dont know about making aurelion sol tankier with his kite potential being the way it is, though. obviously he cant be immune to autoattacks, but I think OP actually just wants a more tanky star dragon. that could be the conversation, how to keep whats fun about a champion while expanding on their theme (and keeping them from being an unkillable kite monster)

i just think people should approach these kinds of threads with less of an intent to just shut people down when they take the time to type up their ideas

Yea the op seems to want champs to have lore shields in that champs that are more powerful in the lore should be more powerful in game.

Tryndamere Literally more unkillable than the guy whose lore says he's unkillable.

AurelionSol has one of the BEST (and most unoriginal in that it is a dragon amongst games) champion concepts in league but they just didn't deliver in-game, they've admitted this MULTIPLE times.

Such a badass Astral Dragon that can create and destroy stars as he pleased and yet NOONE PLAYS HIM, because in-game the champion interaction for your enemy and by the person playing Asol is indirect and boring, aureloin soles gameplay is the most passive aggressive shit I HAVE EVER SEEN in a game, why would an all powerful being that traverses different universes, no telling, probably dimensions too and he is scared of confrontation with an enemy..? yea..no..

They haven't said they stopped looking for an alternative skill set for Aurelion Sol, they are simply not prioritizing it as they were, its not unlike them to change champions (whether they been out since league first came out or just come out a year ago) to make them more healthy, fun etc.. i.e. complete champion reworks Poppy Sion Warwick , mini reworks Shyvana Aatrox Leona , he WILL be changed, just not now.

When did Leo get a mini rework?

MrHaZeYo1 votes

Not really a mini rework, more like just some stat readjustments.

I'd more so consider Vlad, Swain, Xerath, Kat, and Talon are mini reworks.

Poppy, Fiora, WW, Galio, Yorick, and Sion are real reworks.

nah, definitely a mini rework, they gave her a new passive, not to mention them openingly saying they are going to include her in the upcoming Tank update, not as a main 3 of the biggest champions but some small (mini) adjustment (rework) synonymous word

All they did was add a passive to her ult and adjusted some numbers, I can't really consider that a mini rework.

To each their own though.

I think there's a good chance his passive gets reworked at some point. His stars are either too oppressive (against people with low mobility) or useless (against anyone who can reposition themselves to avoid them) Maybe he could fling stars when he auto-attacks. Like, stars circle close to him, and when he auto-attacks, he actualy redirects one of his stars into an ellipse orbit that would target the enemy.

Also he's more vulnerable to CC than anyone else in this game. Not only must he suffer for the duration of the CC, but he must wait for his stars to come back. Going with you view on his lore, maybe hard CC could make him unable to use his abilities and passive, while a slow would slow down the rotation of his stars, but he would be able to move freely.

I agree with the first paragraph but not so much with the second altho I see where ur coming from..... He honestly does need something(s) done to him tbh, he just feels and plays like....."meh"

That sounds pretty cool to me.

I think they need to remake his kit all over again. That champion is a complete failure of design compared to other champions. He's more boring that the old Sion was. They should make him a tank like galio and Cho'gath, a brutal cc machine to be used as a top or support.

Aurelion Sol can kite Vayne (and kill her) quite good if you don't let her stun you before she rolls.

His kit seems just unrewarding for new players but once you get a good grip of him you can dominate the majority of matches.
