What if they implemented the 10 ban system so that we all get to rule out one champ And then you pick your opponents champ and they pick yours The only real problem I can see with this is people giving the enemies an all -one damage type- then just stacking resistance against it

That is how Nemesis Draft worked.

You also have to remember, the enemy team is doing the same to you, so it won't be as effective as you might hope if they catch on.
