Toplaner starting with jungle camp (need good advise)

Hey, a currently popular strategy is to start at a jungle camp as a toplaner with teleport, go B afterwards and teleport to lane with more items and lvl 2.

What is the best camp to do this with? What are the best starting items? I'm playing mlainly wukong at toplane. I've tested it at Gromp and Wolves with Doran's blade + health pot and both worked out very well. I just want to know the optimal strategy, though, and I fail to find it via google.

with wukong both gromp and wolves are probably the best to do it with depending on where your jungler starts.

Champs with a good AOE basic ability to clear (like maokai, Shyvana, Diana, Udyr) can start on raptors as the aoe will let them clear it pretty quick and easily.

Most champs can clear wolves at level 1, so those are always a decent bet. Of course ask your jungler as well as some like to do them as a part of their first clear :P

I can recall two strategies that were popular in the LCS.

I personal favorite is Sion. What you do with him is allow your self to be executed to the camp, then clear the camp using your death passive. You will then respawn at the fountain immediately, an then be able to TP into lane. This saves you the 8 seconds that you would other wise spend recalling first.

The other good option was using hercarim VS an AD opponent. Start the camp with Flask only, recall, and you will have enough gold to get a cloth armor, in addition to your flask, and then TP to lane.

both strats require you to use an Early TP to get to lane from the fountain. Granting you a level, and even an item advantage. Not doing this, may leave you with too little health to make the level advantage worth while. But that's something you would need to experiment with.
