This seems to happen to me all the time. Whether I'm in G5 or G2. I played a game recently and I was matched with someone who had played 3 placement matches, all of them losses. He didn't have any completed rune pages. He took heal on Volibear in the jungle. He didn't buy boots or finish his jungle item. He didn't know how to use the champ at all. So how is it possible I'm getting matched with people in their placements while I'm in Gold matches?
xReadyPlayerOnex1 votesHappens at every level... and it's not acceptable anymore. Placements and promotions need to have better algorithms to group similarly skilled players. The status quo is that win streaks happen every time I'm out of placements and the second that I'm there... poof. Crushed by the afk's and trolls.
It's disheartening to say the least but it seems unless you're constantly on a champion (and get the role) that can carry regardless of your team (not easily done these days... Really cool of yasou to go 6/20 a few games ago) then it just always feels like the loss is there because the team isn't going to play well together.
