FREE RUNES, HONOR UPDATE AND POSSIBLE INTRODUCTION OF VOICE CHAT

god pls no Voice Chat

This all looks fun-tastic, but coming from my COD days, I'm a little nervous about the voice chat (those were dark times).

Ohhh man I am going to scream into the microphone when a team fight breaks out, jump scare everyone :D!

This is possibly the biggest update to league since the facelift for summoner's rift!

The biggest barrier to new players will be gone. IP will now be focused on the only meaningful content that should matter in this game: champions.

Reforged runes are infallibly a step in the right direction. I cannot wait to see what unfolds.

To those worried about balance concerns, those only need time to iron out. This change is so good in the long run that the short-term woes of preseason non-balance is a small price to pay.

I just would mute it every game. Too many people would get mad if you make a bad play and start flaming you right in the chat. I feel like people would type less and use less Pings also if this came out which I find both of those things very useful.

Riot don't do it. I vote NO for voice chat.

PLEASE don't get voice chat. League has always been known as one of the most toxic games and is countered most of the time by muting everyone and playing a chill game. If league gets voice chat it will fall under the same problem as other voice chat games but only even more problematic as it would force anyone who doesn't voice chat to be attacked for not communicating when they simply may not want to voice chat. I've been playing league for many years (season 2) and am dedicating my life to this game but this idea would ruin much of the fun I have with the game. It has even been memed or been made fun of in the past in videos of how toxicity would overflow. Reconsider this idea riot. I feel it would hurt a lot more than help the community.

Runes: Honestly these sound terrible. I'm not looking forward to the free power these new keystone runes are going to provide. I remember when keystone masteries were introduced and how suddenly every champion in the game was one-shotting each other. I think the rune system definitely needs an overhaul, sure (buying runes and pages for IP really really sucks) but I'm not looking forward to these pseudo-masteries and the inevitable damage creep that will occur when they create Thunderlord's Decree Mk. II, Rune Edition.

Honor update: This sounds AWESOME, I'm looking forward to this. The old honor system has been completely forgotten already.

Item sets: Don't know if anyone caught this, but they said it's on the way. Sounds like it's probably going to be a really long time till it's ready... but I'm happy it's being worked on, at least.

Voice chat: ... meh. Probably going to leave it off if it comes, but I understand how good a thing this might be.

I get to hear 6 year old Riven mains screaming at their mom for a PB&J at 1am in 7.1 digital stereo surround sound. Or gimp my communication...

I'd like the 5 point fucking 5 million IP I've spent on runes and rune pages back.

Ok, new and free runes I'm perfectly fine with, still wondering about rune pages and whether or not we might get refunded for them though.

Honor system is ok I guess in terms of what you honor players for (I mean I personally liked honoring people for being friendly but this is Ok) and I like that we can earn loot like special skins for the honor system, however I'm not a fan of key fragments being directly moved there as the only way to get them.

The one thing I'm not OK with is voice chat. No. Abso-fucking-lutely no! I know people will argue that voice chat is better communication in game, and I could agree with that, but considering that this is one of the most toxic gaming communities out there with some people raging after they give first blood, or just downright troll and make a match miserable for everyone, I'd rather stick to chat with a Vayne bot blaming me for not ganking rather than go deaf from listening him to him scream at the top of his lungs across my headphones.

Even if there will be an option to mute him, I still don't think this is a good idea.

Runes: 60% AS? from a rune? let's calm down. it can be pretty decent/bad runes are gonna be abused but they'll also help champs having a hard time.

Honor update: Pretty neat, except the part about keys. Will this from then on be our ONLY option for free keys?

Voice chat: pls don't.

Question to riot: How about OWNED skins in the collection tab? Let me pick my skin during champ select, not after.

Now while i play Shaco, I can finaly tell my retarded teammates when to follow me, how to bait enemy into my boxes, and what to fo in order not to screw up my mind games All while speaking in Joker like voice telling jokes with complex metaphores hidden in them.

I don't care about them adding VC into league as long as it's opt-in.

I don't want to be forced to listen some 12-year-old squeaker screaming at his mom to make him a PB&J at 4AM in the morning,

November is going to be an interesting month for this game.

will all runes be free or just in a period of time

1. ty for new "Honor" system it will be nice to know we can really honor someone who performs really good/ better than average

2. ty for free runes and cant wait to see what the new runes/masteries do

3. not sure for voice chat

I love the idea of voice chat because I play a few other games that have it and it really really helps enable teamwork but honestly I think that voice chat might backfire for league just because of how many "kids" play the game + very toxic community in general(my opinion)... I am sure if it does happen there will be a "mute" option but I am also worried about callouts, usually people use the pings for "omw" "mia" ect if there is voicechat what reason will there be for them???

p.s. when is the eta for the 10bans?
