My concern about runes.

(I really need an answer from riot for this one)

Ok, so the new runes are going to be cool and game changing which is fine for me. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs] But what I'm concern about is the IP and RP that we invested to buy these runes. What is going to happen to them? Players like me have bought lots of runes and some even used RP to buy them which would be disappointing for us(the whole community) to have our game time, and money wasted if these runes that we invested on would go to waste. Just think of it(these are all estimated numbers) 35 mins of game=85 IP(W or L) 410/85=about 5 games to get 410 IP 5x35 mins=175 mins or 3hrs 3hrs of game time per one rune and we need 30 of them which is 90 hours overall for one rune page That's almost 4 days of our life wasted for one rune page!

So what's going to happen? A refund would be good tbh

OK so they announce this much earlier ago and all, first part is that during the day of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bY67yCaGdno they decided that after that day all purchase on runes after that video is gonna be fully refunded, however all the runes you purchase BEFORE the video they won't refund you for, instead they decide to give you something more special for purchasing all that much. Secondly they decided that Rune pages are still are in use and think players can keep and all so no refunds on the Rune Pages as you keep it for Rune reforge. They are also gonna reduce the price of runes until the rune reforge comes in, but if you buy those reduce price of runes you wont get refunded for those runes. I also wanna mention that Riot says that Rune pages are still good use as the help players have a good set of pages so they don't have to stress about what to grab at the start and help communicate with your team.

Their reason for refunding the runes after the video is cause new players that join into the game, gives them IP to get the champion you want that you couldn't afford due to sacrificing all your IP for a full set of marks, seals, glyph, or quints. Once the price is reduce you should be able to afford most of the runes and still can get champions you want at a faster pace now, their main goal with refund is to help semi-newer players into the game with some IP being refunded and able to spend that on getting champion they been wanting. However the old players would have most/all the runes and have all the champion in the game, so refunding is not gonna satisfied them, so in short they decided the give them a reward for being with league of legends for this long, (hint the longer you been in game, the bigger the reward it is i think). hope this clear up everything, if not then reply and ill do the best i can cause even though i'm not part of riot i want to be a teacher of league of legend. So helping players here is what i like to try my best and do
