A Bard tweak suggestion from a Bard player and Support Main.
I have been playing
since he was released and have had a lot of fun playing him. But there is one aspect of his Kit I think needs a little fine tuning.
His Q.
It is a very nice and useful ability when in the jungles or in crowded teamfights. However it is a very underwhelming ability in the Early lane phase, Bordering on useless. Aside from Bard Horrible AP ratio for all spells (A big reason so few of the builds online have any AP Item on them at all),
It is extremely difficult to use it effectively in lane. Why?
1: short range
2: Easily nullified by minions. While in some circumstances they can help you get the stun, in many more common cases they are a moving barrier, one that takes oh so little damage from the spell.
3: hard to hit a wall in such a wide open area.
**What can be done? Change how the Spell interacts with minions. make each Minion count as only 1/2 or 1/3 of a target when it comes to the spells target limit. Something along those lines. **
Quite honestly His Q in it's present state is very poor when compared to other supports in the lanes. Bard still has to lane sometimes. Otherwise he would do nothing but collect chimes and drop shrines for the 1st 15 minutes of the game
