New Runes.
When the runes come out what will happen to all our old runes and all the IP we spent on them? Will we get it back or will they turn into new runes? Because if we just lose all the IP we spent on runes that would be kind of dumb.

First, you already benefited from the lp you spent on runes, so you shouldn't expect any kind of refund. Luckily, Riot has said they will offer some kind of compensation for those that have purchased runes.
Last I heard it was undecided/unknown, as Riot hasn't commented directly on what the compensation may be.
Read up on the update posts Riot makes, they've already announced that they have plans to reimburse players who spent IP in some manor (it may not be IP).
