[SUGGESTION] let us buy trackers knife if we forget smite

so saw a post about forgetting smite and it made me think if xp and gold are tied to jungle items it makes it a double whammy that you cant buy them without smite

I think you should still be allowed to buy this in cases when you forget smite

forgetting smite is bad enough, not having smite AND getting your gold and xp completely gimped is overkill better off going duo top than trying to get xp out of jung with out smite and jung items

Yes riot should not balance the game around people forgetting a summoner but on the other hand should they have balanced the jungle around some random top laners taking challenging smite or runic echoe ez?

Firstly I do not think you forget smite in every game as a jungler, it is like 1 in 50 games maybe, and then buying a jungle item would give other players in game to freely buy and abuse it. For example if u do krugs at lvl 2 u instantly get lvl 3 but only if u have the jungle item it will unbalance the lanes as a red side top laner or a blue side adc might grab the item just to do krugs as it is the single camp that gives the most gold and exp. The junglers sort of sacrifice a summoner to get these benefits. I hope I made my point. Good luck on the rift.

I don't want to be this way, but I really sort of feel like the answer to this is tough shit.

While the bonus gold and experience, ward active is significantly less abusable than Challenging/Chilling Smite, it could still be abused.

I don't honestly know how, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised for some part of the community to figure out a way to do it.

Maybe if there were some other neutral monster focused item similar to Cull that wasn't directly tied to Smite you could at least skip past the jungle items.

Then again, this could most likely be abused as well.

Ultimately, don't forget Smite.

Ultimately don't forget Smite?

We only forget Smite because we're in queue as a different role three or four times and then we get moved to jungle. I imagine some players who get autofilled to jungle might not think to take Smite as well.

Forgetting Smite was never a problem with team builder or dynamic queue because you made the decision in champ select. With the S6 champ select, the game chooses your role for you and that role may change multiple times before you actually get into a game.
