When someone dodges you chance of getting secondary role skyrockets

if you get your main role and end up in lobby and some dodges

LEAVE THE QUEUE and requeue

the longer you are in queue the higher chance you get secondary, when someone dodges it doesnt reset the clock

tired of getting my main role and then getting punished because some other derp dodges or doesnt lock in

every time i search too long for a match it goes like Primary -> Primary -> Secondary -> Support

and then when someone dodges right when you get back into the lobby it instantly finds another match so you don't get a chance to rejoin it lmao

There's a smaller button below the Accept button called "Decline." Press that and requeue.

If you decline too many times, however, you're placed in lower priority queue.

How many is too many?

Declining resets after getting into champ select btw, and you'd have to decline more than 3 times IN A ROW, which none of us should be dumb enough to do. Also, it's not lower priority queue, it's just a dodge timer.

OH MY GOD IT COUNTS AS A DODGE IT IS THE END OF THE WORLD NOOOOO

They should increase the dodge timer to 11 minutes for the first one and 30 for the 2nd one. It typically takes at least 11 minutes to get into a game with people dodging after 6 bans and 10 champ selections. Do that twice and you're easily at 11 minutes.

The downside to this is I've hit some serious lag and been unable to select or the client just froze or the stupid screen went black, but it rarely happens twice in a row.

I suppose they could make autofill mandatory after your first dodge and that might help also. Basically if you dodge you're gonna play support the next game.

Given that autofill remains a thing, I actually like this suggestion. (Change it, though, to after every dodge. You know some derper will dodge the first autofill.)

Driving me nuts as a support main, I decided to start doing promos as mid - due to the constant feeding that was blowing my previous promos.

I get a game, person dodges and I'm support again and with a mid/top feed combo. Well, can't do much about it. Second promos - rinse repeat.. *sigh.

Dodging needs a higher penalty.

Support mains care about this too. I'm tired of getting autofilled into Jungle.

HeimerLmao1 votes

Same here(I'm secondary supp, but still), I get autofilled ADC all the time

And also affects Auto Fill which leads to major disappointment in the system.

Old news to me.

And then it finds a match after 10 seconds... and you get autofilled.

I swear, it's such a bullshit.

The majority of nooblord league players love dodging though, didn't you see the thread about no punishments for the first dodge of the day. I hope they increase dodge punishments, this is getting tiring

A Basic Island1 votes

um ya, that's kinda how the system works. a filled person dodges>the game rolls the dice for a new fill>its you

not exactly sure why people are always so confused as to why they get filled after a dodge

Leonerdo1 votes

With suggestions like these, along with all the autofill hate and autofill-avoidance strats I've been seeing, I'm starting to believe people actually don't care about queue times. I doubted it before, but maybe people really don't mind taking 10 minutes to get into a game? Legitimately asking, would people really rather double or triple queue times to get their prefered role(s) more?

Joseraph1 votes

YES. In Bronze-Plat, there are so many people that Autofill shouldn't even exist.

Leonerdo1 votes

Okay. But the number of people overall is somewhat irrelevant. It's true that more people = faster queues in general. But also more people = more teams = more support-shaped holes to fill

Gosh Darn1 votes

They dodge because they got autofilled support. The game immediately tries to put the 9 people without the penalty back into the game, so your chance of being autofilled is huge.

same applies to autofill

Ive had times where ive gotten dodges 7 times in a row

i believe this thread is the equivalent of pressing buttons while catching a pokemon to increase your chances of catching

Was I the only one canceling after every dodge?

(My reasoning is different though - I typically see targeted bans in the remake.)
