Get Yummi out of my game!

FSRER·5/15/2019, 2:41:04 PM·52 votes·21,392 views

Literally, every damned game, a teamate of mine picks yummi, doesn't know what he is doing and just makes our adc useless aka, loses the game. Why is a champion who was released 2 days ago able to be picked in solo queue! If someone wants to practice her, he can go normals but why do I have to waste 1 precious ban to ban yummi after someone has picked her so that we actually have a chance of winning. This is not about her being too weak (even tho she IS) but it is mostly about her being unlocked at ranked. Is this a sign of the 0 Fs Riot gives about ranked games?

Queue as support, leave her open, play vs yuumi, win, promote

24.5% winrate https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/builds/yuumi

WOW. Honestly a adc would be better off getting solo exp at this point.

I think the biggest problem is people aren't understanding that you need to hop on and off, especially in lane phase. Her passive is supposed to encourage you to hop off and auto occasionally. She also requires a lot of coordination and understanding of her kit from her TEAMMATES not just her player.

Dakkea5/15/2019, 4:30:20 PM11 votes

Yuumi is good as pure sup but not as offensive. She is "conditional" where she can slow with her q, increase adc's dmg, and heal/shield. However the player who plays Yuumi needs know how to get around it. She can hop off and AA, then hop on and she gets her mana back. If her adc is on low hp, she is supposed to heal her then get mana back by AA once her passive is ready.

It's also part of ADC's responsibility to stick with Yuumi if they want to be successful in botlane. There's no reason to be apart away from your sup after all.

I'd argue the adc makes Yuumi useless, not the other way around. Yuumi's ability to influence a game is correlated with how good/bad her allies are at playing as a team. Solo/Duo Queue don't play well together or make team decisions. it's a crap shoot where everyone looks out for themselves.

Rito spiced up the fiesta pretty good with yummi.

I can tell now even faster then before, when my botlane is completely lost.

Regardless of how I feel about Yuumi, I really do think they need to lock a champion for 1-2 weeks before they can be taken into rank. Maybe for streaming purposes, they can unlock it for certain streamers or for Grandmaster+ Players.

zPity5/15/2019, 11:21:59 PM3 votes

ban her, when flamed, post her win rate gg

Malix Farwin5/16/2019, 10:39:52 AM2 votes

I understand soloq but why are ppl banning their teammates out in normals as well, makes no sense to me thats where she SHOULD be played right now.

Jack Eron5/16/2019, 6:35:49 AM2 votes

I created a post yesterday about the same problem - to disable new champions when it comes to ranked. Strange it's on 0 points and no one even cared about it but this post is +17 :D

Acekill3r5/16/2019, 7:45:24 PM2 votes

Honestly i tought she sucked because i kept smashing their bot lane but that was before i found good players playing her and she is not weak at all if played good, so it's a problem with the players, i would advise not to buff her because she is already ok and that would totally break her like with every new high-medium high skill floor new released champ.

So, to everyone complaining : your support would have lost lane with every support because he was not a good player so get over it.

daddydewey5/16/2019, 10:36:24 PM2 votes

so not only does kog'maw get an indirect nerf via guinsoo. but they also add a support that intetnionally forces the other lane to target him and him only.

Doctor Fillgood5/15/2019, 11:54:45 PM2 votes

I agree, no one should be able to bring a champion into a ranked game without a minimum number of mastery points.

Shiroyashayami5/15/2019, 11:55:10 PM2 votes

Fucking get that shit out of my games too xd

GankLord5/16/2019, 3:23:04 AM2 votes

One she's not weak. 2 I really wish Riot would implement a 1 week freeze on new champs in ranked.

ThisName1sDumb5/16/2019, 4:12:37 AM2 votes

I mean, she is just a house cat fighting against basically gods and legendary heroes, it's not surprising that she can't quite keep up*[sg-zephyr]*

Dodge if your team has her and take the free win if the enemy takes her

WhyNotPat5/27/2019, 4:54:37 PM1 votes

Yuumi is absolutely not a weak champ x) After trying her a little at first I thought she sucked.. but man was I wrong x) She is op once you know how to play her and got a somewhat decent adc. Her ability to make it close to impossible for any champ to escape when getting low hp is insane :O Its all about poking and bursting when the time is right in the beginning, and late game she actually got some damage (Q - 600 - 800 tho minus magic resist if they got) along with a single healing charge giving like 600 - 1000 hp with unholy grail + Ardent Censer + Revitalize rune and some heavy AP items) And her shield is pretty good x)

are you new to the game or something? this has been a problem since season 0.

Thot Patrol Ashe5/16/2019, 6:23:28 AM1 votes

Its simple i pick support amd tell my team not to ban yumi so the enemy team picks her. Then i get sona janna morg nami what ever and its basically a 2v1 lane. Its free realestate.

Irelicant5/16/2019, 7:22:25 PM1 votes

*riot gives no fs about ranked in anywhere that isn't high elo. now if challengers were complaining about people first timing in ranked, then maybe itd be a different story

hungrysean5/16/2019, 8:47:14 PM1 votes

Totally agreed. Yummi is most worthless champ. Any game with Yummi is like play 4v5. I have lost all games when Yummi is in my team, and won games when Yummi is on the other team. Is almost better if ADC go solo bot if Yummi is around. Worthless champ.

SociopathFriend5/16/2019, 9:27:44 PM1 votes

If your teammate is the type to pick a new champion when they don't know them- that same teammate is likely to sink you anyways even without them. It's a symptom- not a cause.

NaughtyWord5/16/2019, 10:03:10 PM1 votes

If my sup locks in Yuumi, I'm dodging. No questions asked.

~30% winrate says it all. The champ is trash. Not going to 1v2 botlane.

Acekill3r5/17/2019, 12:05:40 AM1 votes

I didn't say this before but: she is niche and i am OK with that, she works with few adc and i see no problem in that, i don't wanna Riot to release every champ as : you can pick this no matter the comp because we released another generalist champ yet again.

14daysuspensionk5/17/2019, 8:08:32 AM1 votes

i just wish I could get a support picking one of their Mastery 7s or something... But...all these players...now knowing how to support playing Yuumi...why man.

UNDEF1NED5/17/2019, 3:32:13 PM1 votes

I lost all my games with yuumi as my supp. You will think that its a 2v2 bot, but no you will get focused and then die quickly , yuumi hopes off at full health and runs to safety or in most cases also dies. riot messed up with this one.

WeaselRune5/17/2019, 4:06:42 PM1 votes

We have to go through this pretty much EVERY champ... MANY MANY people have asked, begged, demanded, pleaded, petitioned, and.... yet... Riot refuses to address this rage inducing issue.

What we need:

New champs are NOT playable for the first week after release in ranked. New champs are NOT bannable in normal draft after release for a week.

Why we wont get it...

Some people buy champs with RP, and Riot makes money from this, so they want people impulse buying ASAP. You think all the disappointment in the champs performance wouldnt dampen Yuumi sales? It probably would, and then Riot wouldnt make that sweet "New hotness" money on even sub-par champs.

I dont think this is how things should be, but its how they are, corporate greed... fucks a lot of stuff up. Maybe youll even rage and flame the Yuumi, and get banned, then have to buy all your favorite skins again on another account. Double win for Riot. They sell new hot items, people grief inviting rage and reports, sell skins twice... why should they change it... Unless we somehow make them.

Gabresol5/26/2019, 9:19:38 PM1 votes

I have played her a few games now... She is worthless in low elo. She has not the damage a support like Nami has and neither has the CC. Her slow is... good for spellthieces proc and that's it really. Sure, she is almost impossible to engage if an ally is nearby, but do not expect anyone to stay in range for your w. The w sounds good, but most marksmen do not go over high AD stats, so it is not as good as it sounds. Her heal is neat, but her ult is not. Either your are on an ally and they move in a way that no one gets cced or the enemy is mobile enough to escape.

You are better off playing Lee Supp in low elo really. She definatly has potential from master on and pro-play, where communication is better.
