New Inhibitor and Nexus Towers, and minion interaction with baron

I am frustrated with the way the new inhibitor and nexus towers work. I feel like the purpose of having two nexus tower and slightly stronger, regenerating inhib towers is that these positions are crucial to victory. The nexus towers, for example, seem to represent a last stand, or a "remember the Alamo!" type moment. Both of these towers are currently incredibly weak. Two games ago, I played a game where a non-tanky mid-early game blitz could tank the nexus towers for legitimately over a minute to minute and a half (his passive and shields were used but still). If they are going to be so incredibly weak, then just make them some sort of aoe buff creators that do no damage. Secondly, I am fairly astounded with the massive power of minions nearby a champion with baron. I was an 11/7 ezreal, and it took me more than 4 q's to kill a single normal minion with baron buff. I understand that these changes were created with the intention of making games more beneficial for teams going on the aggressive, but the weakness of the most important towers coupled with the ridiculous strength of baron buffed minions makes games where one team falls behind a single time nearly unwinnable. I am unsure as to how what I see as issues can be more aptly handled, but I would like to hear others' opinions on the matter.
