Very angry with repeated que issues/ please help

Hey guys, I am writing to the forums because league support is continuously refusing to actually help me. I have had a repeated issue (look at my attachment for a picture) where my client will stop doing the countdown (as you can see, there is no timer/clock in the screen shot) , and I can no longer see champions being picked. This, of course, makes it impossible for me to pick my champion. I am on Mac, and I do not have the option to play on PC. The game is also optimized for Mac, however, and should therefore work the same. The riot support team (whom I have repeatedly sent emails to about this issue) have not assisted me. They email me the same thing every time; i.e. change the firewall settings/ turn it off (I have). This never works. I have lost 5 promotional matches and, now, one placement because of this same issue. If anyone has any idea how to actually fix it, I would be so extraordinarily happy. Even with screen shots and repeated testimonials, riot consistently does not give a shit about the fact that client is losing me pretty important games. For the placements, I just lost one out of ten without even getting to play because of this same issue, and I will not have the opportunity to get back into placements like I would promotional games.

Start with tech questions 101. I'm sure you've gone through several of these already:

  1. Have you tried turning your computer off and on again?
  2. Is your Operating System up to date?
  3. Are your drivers up to date?
  4. Have you tried updating Adobe Air?
  5. Have you tried repairing your League client?
  6. Have you tried reinstalling League?
  7. Have you tried restarting your wireless router/modem? Those sometimes have firewalls as well.

If all of the above fail, there is another option. You could duo-boot your Mac so it can run Windows as well as Mac OSX. There are ways to get discounted, even free, versions of Windows by being a student. While this solution is a bit extreme for just one game, if there are other Windows only games you've been interested in you might want to consider it.
