Let's talk about one small detail of Leaverbuster.....

So, all-in-all I like leaverbuster. Why? Afker's are a huge problem. Doesn't matter what mode, or what point in the game, an AFK very heavy on a team no matter the elo. The _only _ problem I have is legitimate DC's. I know I personally got hammered with the Leaverbuster once in a pre-made 5 with my friends because my internet derped. I had them on Skype and everything. I came back within minutes and still got busted with a warning. This isn't a whiny rant, omg I got screwed thing, more that I'm wondering if there is a system within Leaverbuster that can figure out if it's a legit DC or if it will just be a constant Ticket each time. I am usually pretty good about keeping up with the news I just can't remember if there is a system. Thank you for your time.

TL;DR I don't like bugging the Support team with tickets Q_Q

It's fundamentally impossible to tell whether you DC'd because there was a connection problem or because you pulled your Ethernet cable out of the wall. If the punishment was waived whenever contact with the server was lost without manually quitting the game, nobody would ever be punished because they'd just disconnect the Internet instead of leaving the game.

There is no system, and frankly im ok with that. As someone who hasn't had dc issues, I am relatively indifferent as to WHY you dced. If you drop from my game, I want nothing but punishment for you. And if I ever dc, I deserve it as well, for not following up on the commitment to finish the game.

Well, except that the issue is when you dc from a game and reconnect you get a warning about not leaving but you're fine. You could have that happen every game and not get restrictions or temp ban or anything because you aren't afk for the end of the game, or even most of the game. My bull dog has definitely pulled a plug or two out running around the house on weeks where he didn't get to go do agility class due to the weather (yeah I know it's not a bulldog thing really but for some reason he loves it) and it has made me DC more than once but I don't get in trouble if I plug it in and reconnect.

Only time you get in trouble is if you AFK and are still that way at the end of the game. If this happens it shouldn't be often enough to get you in trouble. If it is then that's a problem. I've received a warning for AFK because time warner shut down in our area the day after our power got knocked out for an hour or two in a storm so I had back to back DCs. If I had a third in a row I would expect a temp ban. Probably from any game, but for sure from ranked. If your internet or your power or whatever makes you DC is soooo spotty that it becomes a chronic issue you can't control then you shouldn't be playing ranked and I'm fine w/ it giving you a temp ban because whether or not you mean to do it you're screwing your team when you know it's a consistent problem and should adjust to that and stop playing ranked.

There should be a "Forgive Leaver" thing under the reports. If at least 3 people forgive you, then the leave doesn't count.

To prevent abuse, this only works twice per day for major disconnections (Excluding loading times of course, you were gone for 5 minutes or more). The more you dc, the less leniant the systems is. Soon, it will temporarily ignore any forgiveness from people you party up with.

There's no point in bugging the support team with tickets, they won't remove the leaverbuster.
