Trying to play Fiora

I do decent with top laners like darius and such but played a few games as fiora top lane, and i just cant figure out how to use her kite, i mean i fought against fiora's that could 1 vs 3, but i can barely survive 1 vs 1 fights, i mean i looked up master and rune page for her and items to use, but once in game i just cant get my damage to connect properly, either they absorb my damage so it feels like its only doing 1/4 what it should be doing or they just shrug off my damage and kill me with 6 hits, so honestly how the heck do you freaking cause damage as fiora any more, she can be easily tanked against, example i fought shen he started doran's shield and just was passively healing a crap ton like garen's passive does for him. fought singed top lane he ran around using his poison and he build tank, their were a few times i got him down to low health but since fiora doesn't really have a means to execute her means of finishing off a person that just runs impossible cause without crystal scepter his poison was slowing. fought a kassadin couldn't dominate top lane vs him either after level 6 besides holding lane he roamed a lot and got fed from ganking other lane's and then he still managed to go from bot lane gank fight back to top lane to stop be from taking tower in seconds without using TP since he used Tp to go bot lane, couldn't understand it, so flat out I just cant figure out how to be op as Fiora. if someone that plays like main fiora can help me understand how to get my damage to connect so i can wreck people that would help.
