Draven counters, top lane (help me)

So I've been playing nasus lately and have been doing very well. Today in one of my games someone picked draven. Well I couldn't even go in for a Q without taking 2-3 auto from his spinning axe. even farming under turret he'd run in poke me once while running back so not to take turret agro. I couldn't do anything.. I know people playing him top lane is probably extremely rare but I was wondering for some counter champs I can try against him if that ever happens. I try to goodl it but these sites make no sense they list one champ as a #1 counter but then on the other side of the list it says it says that draven is strong against that champ.. like that makes no sense. Anyway I was thinking darius, would he be good against draven? Or even Gnar, Gnar is my reliable secondary but how would he fair against draven

Gnar has a better change, smart Dravens will go something like Frozen Mallet against Dar. It's like going against a Teemo . You get poked infinitely, so why not choose Gnar to poke him back? btw: Only a few people actually go Draven top so you won't have to worry that much. [slayer-jinx-wink]

gnar has less range then draven

This is a famous lol player called Quas, he situationally does this build in hard match ups. Hope this vid helps and gives you a good idea on how to apply this type of nasus tactic.

champs are items/strats?

good champs against any ranged top are Irelia Pantheon Renekton Olaf and pretty much any champ who can get on them in the early game since they have very little strength in an all in against a melee because of lower base stats and weaker abilities

dorans shield is very good for sustaining against harass but you also can grab a couple of extra dorans items to push your advantage further for nasus a doran's shield into corrupting pot helps him sustain enough that he can get to the point where he can just shrug off any harass and farm in peace, gnar im not so sure but 2 item 1055 is probably enough that you can win an all in in mega, getting ninja tabi early is very good since it helps you shrug off a large chunck of the auto damage while also giving you movement speed to get on them

in general give up cs in the early level's but not xp your levels are worth far more than gold early on and losing the ability to fight them at level 3 is not worth the early gold, after you can beat them, don't ever let them harass you without immediately going on them
