Warwick in ranked?

Can some higher-ranked players give me some tips here? Currently, I'm doing really well with warwick; all I have to do is spam w for assists, get fed, buy devourer, and walk up to turret with team. I need some advice over whether or not he will remain a strong pick for me the higher I climb. So far as I can tell, he is one of the best soloQ junglers mechanically. He has a free lockdown ult though it is more useful as a "1 gank = 1 kill", his Q is a very solid spell, he needs no more JG sustain, he scales SO WELL with AS, they DONT escape, and his W. His W is essentialy a "Hey yo? WIN THAT 1V1! You? WIN THAT TEAMFIGHT! YOu? TAKE THAT TURRET!" Max rank gives WW 80% AS which puts me at almost max attack speed, PLUS giving the whole team 40%! That'sa HUGE amount! I don't see why people dont spam more WW! HE's tanky too..

No. You know whyy? because ult doesnt matter. What matters is the free teamwide 40% AS boost. FORTY PER CENT

I would say that any jungler that cannot pose a threat before level 6 won't be a strong jungler. You want a jungle with a strong engage. CC, and disengage before level 6, Preferably by level 3.

because hes useless in team fights if they silence your ult or stun you or something to make his ult not actually go off

Why would you ult in teamfights? All taht would happen is that ou'd get CCd off of your target like a katarina. Press W in teamfight ~ Win teamfight

He's not bad. I personally don't like him because of consistency issues. His ability to scale into later MMR's is questionable though. He relies on the enemy jungler not having pressure pre-6, and lanes not losing horribly pre-6. Even then, his main ganking tool is on a 90s- CD, which isn't great.

It's hard to gauge, considering your current rank. There's such a wide variety of skill levels at your MMR, you'll have games where you can scale incredibly well, and you'll have games where every lane fed 3 kills pre-10min.

My main issue with Warwick is that he is fairly inflexible due to the simplicity of his kit. He doesn't really have any options outside of ulting a target and running at people.

He lacks mobility
He lacks CC outside of his ultimate
His kit requires he be within melee range to really do anything (aside from his ult which takes him into melee range)
He lacks waveclear
Due to a combination of the above, he lacks significant pressure early-game.

I prefer that my junglers have options available to them so that I can adapt my build and play-style for each game. I generally just have more versatile pick who I find more enjoyable.

That said, if you enjoy Warwick and are finding success with him, there really isn't a reason to stop playing him.

Yeah, his kit is a bit basic, but the thing im going for is maxing W. With 5 ranks in W, you basically can get a free teamfight/turret/fedlaner/assist whenever. Is that a good base or is it weak?

In order to climb with Warwick you need to have really strong, consistent decision making and pray that you don't get a team where every lane is either losing before you're lvl 6 or is not possible to gank at level 6.

WW is fun for grinding out of bronze.

I think I'm going to spam him in Gold just to see how I fair with him.

I like to go AP tank on him.

I am Warwick main char jungler and I definitely can say that this is the best character. On lvl 3 you are able to make a gank on a every single lane. What about his E - fear ??? you say nothing about it when this is one of his strongest skills. Maxing w though will provide you best outcome as you will be persistent at every lane when somebody on the enemy team is low health. Moreover if you know how to use E nobody can escape you even with a flash. Another thing is that the more health tanky you go the more dmg you make. Just a wonderful character. Thanks
