@Riot You always talk about lack of talent, why not have us help?

Hey there Riot,

We, as a community, understand that you, Riot, are more focused on delivering quality champion reworks as opposed to a large quantity of poorly applied band-aids. One of the things that caught my eye recently was the Diana Rework discussion posted by IronStylus. I thought, wouldn't it be cool if Riot let US remake all our favourite champions? Now I understand how bad this would turn out in practice if you gave the community full control over everything (S3 Rengar all over again), so why not meet us half-way?

What I propose is let us, the community, establish in a group discussion what the main issues with X champion is, what should and shouldn't be changed (iconic features), and a bunch of ideas for how to rework the champion. After the community takes a whack at it, you as Rioters could then take our info back to the drawing board and use the top voted ideas as a guideline. I'm not saying it has to be our design that gets published, but as we can see from the Skarner and Sona reworks, it takes a lot of time and effort for you to find what the champion mains would like, what the general populace won't mind playing against, and what would be a healthy inclusion to the rift. Maybe we can test run this with Taric? He has the same core issues as Sona, in having a lot of invisible power, while also sees a LOT less play.

TL;DR Let us toss ideas around instead, we can do that much faster, and it'll likely lead to reworks being produced faster, and more to the liking of the summoners themselves.

No need for test runs. They've done this before with "Let's Talk About X" threads.

If you want to discuss upcoming updates, I believe the upcoming list goes Soraka > Sion > Viktor.
